The New Pricing Structure Of Games Workshop |
| Posted by Bugman - 04-28-09 23:34 - 43 comments |
 |
Well the prices of the new empire models are out and it reveals what i have been wondering if it would happen for a long time, Core box sets will cost around the £15 mark, as will the character box sets, and I am guessing, all special sets will move to the £25 mark. (10 empire great swords) I am just waiting for your 10 man SM squad to hit the £30 mark. Ouch, GWs excuse is other manufactures charge that amount? Er no, they don't, not by a long way. I stopped long ago buying GW minis direct and buy them discounted, this just reinforces the issuse. Bad move GW, especially in a credit crunch.....

The Original Warhammer Blog Is Reborn |
| Posted by Bugman - 02-14-09 10:34 - 8 comments |
 |
Greetings my fellow Dwarfs, You will be delighted to hear that Warhammer Diaries, the original Warhammer blogs brought to you by Bugmans Brewery are back, bigger and better then ever. The old blog system was a 3rd party software, and become buggy and security wise had more leaks then a smashed tankard so it had to go. But now we have the proper Invision professionally looking Warhammer Diaries blog system up and running. Now there are going to be a few minor groans and minor lapses on my behalf as we get all this up and running. Please do not hesistate to contact me or post below and we shall see what we can do about it. To have a Warhammer Diary, you need to abide not only by the forum rules but also the extra rules below: - Your Blog must be about Games Workshop Games/Hobby, and more precisely your Dwarf Army.
- You may NOT write about your personnel life, other then say "played so and so" or "went to this tournie" etc.
- There is to be no beating up of Games Workshop or thier staff, including games developers.
- You may have other categories that relate to Games Workshop, e.g. in my Diary i have one set aside for Bloodbowl, My Empire and Orc and Goblin army.
- You may NOT write about LOTR or 40K. Having said that, any specialist game goes.
- As ever you must abide by the normal rules set out here at the brewery
- Staff have thier own set of rules (A staff "perk") and hence do not have to abide by the above. However, that does not give permission for a non staffer to post something that a staffer did just because a staffer did (ie you are not allowed to break above rules)
- Blogs that are empty for more then 2 months (e.g. you create but then dont add anything) will find them deleted.
- Failure to adhere to any of the above, or blog about anything that the staff feel is not correct for here at the brewery and it will be removed immediatley, without warning and you may find yourself with a lifetime ban here and at other Warhammer sites. You have been warned!!!
Now that we have got that unpleasent buisness out the way, have fun! Bugman

Warhammer-Empire Changing the Guard |
| Posted by Bugman - 01-27-09 03:20 - 0 comments |

A lot of great people have held the status as Warhammer-Empire “staff” over the years and it is the hard work of these volunteers that keeps the site going. Of course nothing stays the same forever and some of these great people eventually have to step aside of their duties. It is in recognition of this that a new category has been created on the forum for retired site staff. These Old Ones will always have our gratitude for the work that they have done. For more details on The Old ... View the full article

Also at this time of year, please spare a thought for thoose who are not as fortunate as ourselves, whether its the old, homeless, or even thoose who have to continue on, on xmas day, just like anyone else, e.g. the police, nurses, fireman etc. Its xmas for them as well.
Take care, and have a wonderful time, and lastly, we all like to party and drink, but if you do, dont drive, get a taxi or nominated driver, its not worth spoiling the xmas cheer

Warhammer-Empire Christmas Competition 2008 |
| Posted by Bugman - 12-12-08 18:01 - 4 comments |
 |
The Emperor is pleased to announce a competition in the run up to Christmas. Now it may have something to do with his relocation to the frozen wastes, and having to fit a snow plough to his car, but he wants to see some creative writing along the following theme. [background=red;]Santa[/font] in WFBHe is looking for a poem, or maybe lyrics that could be set to a tune, about Santa Claus and his exploits and adventures in the world or Warhammer. I can be rythmic, it can... View the full article
