Hammerers are inherently stubborn, so you don't need Stoicism on them.

Your Longbeards, however, are not stubborn, and I'd suggest removing Slowness from them in favor of Stoicism. That way they might get someone stuck in on them or can hold a superior foe until your hammerers and great weapons arrives.

You have only two guns, which is ok, but at the end of the day they may be able to avoid you and won't be forced to advance through fire. Maybe flip the Grudge Thrower for an Organ Gun and find some points to add a Master Engineer and Rune of Accuracy? The ME will lend the Organ Gun his Entrenchment ability, and every turn can use his BS4 to fire the Accurate weapon, which means you start out hitting on  a 2+ before modifiers. Furthermore, he can allow you to reroll one of the artillery dice you roll (only use this on a misfire or a 2). It's a really powerful tool for board control.

Your Lord can probably drop the rune of Fortitude. It's a bit of overkill for a very hearty and robust build.

I have yet to ever need the MR of Valaya, and instead just take a Spell Breaker on one Runesmith and a second Runesmith with a Spell Breaker (x2).

I think you need at least one more Gyro. It's good to get used to how amazing they are.

Thanks for the advice mate! :)

I can only have 1 unit of a warmachine/unique type for every core unit I have in my army. tournament rules! But I will try to make room for a ME and switch the grudge thrower for an organ gun :)

That comp, system seems tailor made to screw dwarf players. Hmmm...

Do you have more quarrelers thunderers available?

I have many more quallers! :-) Do you think I should switch my GW warriors for a GW quallers block?

I would go gunline with that comp system. MSU core shooting and hammerers with groth, a gyro (2 if they count as 1 choice) and however many WMs I can buy

Yep.

So, for example -

5 units of 10 quarrelers with shields and musicians.

1 units of 14 Longbeards with shield and full command

1 unit of hammerers at 18 strong, full command, groth one eye

Cannon, forging
Grudge Thrower, Forging and Accuracy

Organ Gun. Accuracy
Organ Gun, Accuracy and Burning

2 Gyros

Thane BSB with Grungni and a SHield

Runesmith with a shield, Stone, and a Spell Breaker
Runesmith with a Shield, Stone, and a Spell Breaker x2
2 Master Engineers.

Use the Quarrelers to shoot, and then use them to reform into conga lines to hold people on stubborn. Counter charge with longbeards and hammerers if they actually get close. ANything that shows it's face gets eaten by artillery and 10 BS3 crossbow shots.

From your original list if you're keeping the Lord he should be on Shieldbearers or he should stay at home - 2 more wounds (also makes one Iron rune  superfluous) and +2 armour save is too good to overlook.

You also have a lot of shields on your GW troops about 94pts worth to be exact . You realise you get no benefit from shields in close combat when armed with GW, you must use them. Then again some like them for the missile protection. Id sooner drop Valaya on Bsb and add Grugni which offer a degree of missile protection instead. Good luck
