How did the battle go?

Turn 1
He advances with everything and has some units in wood and others outside.
I don't do much damage with shooting.
Anvil of Power puts 2 wounds on Treeman thanks to D6 STR6 hits rune.

Turn 2
Sylvan Elves continue moving up. Archers put 1 wound on Engineer. Many shots or attempts to go after volley gun, with no luck. Miscast puts 1 wound on sisters of the thorn champion.
Catapult hits treeman, who fails his ward save. Catapult rolls a 6 for D3+1 wounds and kills him!
Big block of Dryads panic and run away, but remain on the board.

Turn 3
He moves the sisters and the skirmisher dryads on my right flank (in front of my iron breakers).
My shooting takes out some sylvan archers and the scouting group of 5. Magic continues giving me augments to my troops, as he's trying to a void the damage spells.

Turn 4
He positions very close to my iron breakers, obviously looking for a charge, so he can flank with the other unit. But casts something that would have the iron breakers treat all terrain like dangerous terrain and go down on 1 & 2.
So no charges on my end. Longboards move up a bit to have the choice at helping right flank, or protecting left flank. Shooting takes out more archers and does some damage on the sisters of the thorn and dryads.
Magic continues being strong.

Turn 5
His sisters of the thorn charge my organ gun who holds and is down to 1 wound.
I charge my graybeards on the flank of the sisters of the thorn and charge iron breakers onto skirmisher group of 5 dryads.
Win both combats and route them. I chase and catch both!

Turn 6
Big block of dryads charge my marksmen - who stand and shoot and produce a few wounds. Thanks to having Thane in there (for 6'' bubble of 5+ ward from banner), marksmen win combat and route the dryads.

Battle ends with a big victory for the Dwarves Holds!

Post Match:
Great, fun battle that took a few turns and got some lucky bounces.

Taking the tree father ancient out by turn 2 was great! Really opened the battle up as that meant the left flank was secure and graybeards could move. Plus, less magic on his end.
-Organ gun never rolled a 6, which is good, but didn't do incredibly this time. Didn't do bad either, but just didn't do too much. QUESTION: Even with an edgy nearby, you can't preroll 6's, can you?
Catapult was one of the MVPs of th game and hit almost every time. One malfunction, but since I had taken the Engineering rune, it only couldn't shoot that turn.
Marksmen with guild crafted handguns performed well. Good shooting, hitting on 3s, 4s or even 5s when he put a hex on me for -1 shooting.
Longbeards & Ironbreakers performed well - Got charges for both, which helped but they weren't overall challenged.
Anvil of Power.. .. MVP this game and the game before. The magic is great and having those damage attacks allows for augments to go on units as sometimes (depending on target) opponents want to avoid getting hit. Note, I've only really played elves so far. So anyone with a T5 might not think too much of a 2D6, STR4 hits, but still. One of the highlights of 9th age for me is Anvil as part of rare. It's huge.

Feel free to ask questions about the game, ninth age, etc. More games coming up next week!
