Hello,

This is my first post on these forums, and I haven't had time to get to know the place. So I thought I would start with an army list.
I'm an 'old' warhammer player, I have been playing and painting, on and off for about 14 years now.

So this is my first take on 8th edition dwarfs. I have no idea how this list is going to work and it is sort of a brainfart.

without further ado here is the list.

Runelord 433pts.
Anvil of doom, gromril armour, shield, rune of stone, rune of resistance, rune of preservation.
Rune of cleaving, 2 runes of spellbreaking.

Thane 165pts.
Battle standard bearer, rune of fire, master rune of challenge, master rune of gromril &
rune of brotherhood

39 Longbeard Rangers 660pts
Full command group. Rune of slowness, heavy armour, throwing axes & Great weapons.

20 Quarrellers 265pts.
Full command group. shield, light armour, hand weapon & Crossbow.

10 Thunderers 150pts.
shield, hw, la & dorf handgun.

Cannon 125pts.
Rune of forging.

2 bolt throwers 120pts.
engineers

Grudge Thrower 130pts.
Rune of accuracy rune of penetrating.

8 Slayers 88pts.

Gyrocopter 140pts.

Organ gun 120pts.

2396pts.

So the plan is to place the longbeard rangers in a horde in some suitable place, enemy territory if possible, if not then probably in the middle of the table.
Then spam axes and grind foes down with them.
Rest of the army probably turtles around the runelord and shoots.

I would really like some thoughts and comments about the list. And also I would like some tips about 8th edition and ideas on how I could improve my list (or completely trash it and build a new one).
