my forces

rune smith: MRoBalance and RoSpellbreaking + shield
Thane: BSB MRoGromil MRoSpite (edited, had MRoSteel in error)

21 warriors w/ GW FC
21 warriors w/ GW FC
10 Quarrelers w/ GW

21 Hammerers w/ FC (bsb goes here)
GT w/ RoPenn x 2 + RoAcc + engi
OG

High Elves
(vague, sorry)

lvl 4 life mage with a 5+ ward and + 1 magic die
hero w/ bsb GW and 2+ Armor and 4+ ward

25(maybe 20) spear men (lvl 4 goes here)

25(maybe 20) lothern seaguard

5 dragon princes

20 white lions (bsb goes here)

the battle was a stand up fight, in my deployment zone was a building so i deployed my Quarrelers there
on the left side i had the hammerers and one of the warrior blocks, on the right side i had the other warriors
hiding behind it was the runesmith on his own

behind the hammerers was the OG and to its left (behind the 1st block of warriors) was the GT.

on his side, the lions deployed on the right (my right) with everything else up the middle with
(right to left) spear men w/ mage seaguard and dragon princes (hoping to flank into my WMs)

the rest of the terrain didnt really matter besides a neckharahn sphinx(sp?)

we played on a smallish table, only 40 inches wide so we were rather close to each other...

he wont 1st turn.

HE turn 1:

movement: everything advanced, his BSB challenged the sphinx to a I test and got HKB (fun!)

magic: he rolled bad, and got nothing!

ranged: seaguard shoot at hammerers, no wounds!

dwarf turn 1:

movement: staying put, letting my WMs have some fun here! (i did shift my warrior block to face out a bit)

ranged: everything targeted his spear men with the lvl 4 in it.
GT killed all but 6 of them. OG killed four. quarrelers killed the rest and the mage saved his ward
twice, only taking 1 wound from the shooting!
(looking back i should have OGd the dragon princes, but at the time i really wanted his mage dead)

no CC

HE turn 2:

movement: lvl 4, now on his own, high tails it to the white lions who advance.
seaguard and dragon princes charge my hammerers.

magic: another horrid roll, nothing happens

no ranged

CC: i lose seven hammerers to the dragon princes charge and two more to the seaguard but being deployed 7
wide, i hit the seaguard back killing ten!

dwarf turn 2:

movement: i back up my right warrior block to hopefully gain another turn of shooting at the lions
i position my left warrior block to take the dragon princes from the rear

ranged: gt takes a no LoS shot at the lions, but deviates back, only hitting one, who survives!
quarrelers shoot and kill 1 lion.

CC: my hammerers lose 2 more men to the seaguard and none to the princes (poor cav after charge T_T)
and kill all but four remaining seaguard. seaguard break and flee (my opponent took a panic test
for his dragon princes and failed it, i know now that he shouldnt have done so but it was his idea!)
dragon princes fail a panic test and flee through my warriors losing their champion.

HE turn 3:

movement: lions charge my warriors, making the distance but right on the inch!
seaguard continue to flee, dragon princes rally.

magic: he finally rolls well and gets off throne of vines, which i RoSpell.

CC: the lions make short work of my warriors, and due to bad rolling i dont do so hot in return
(i kill maybe 2, he kills close to 12...)

Dwarf turn 3:

movement: i start turning my hammerers and left warrior block to the right to face the lions
i run my runesmith into the tower to join the quarrelers (ended up being a bad idea!)

shooting: i turn my OG on the four remaining dragon princes and the OG goes boom!
my quarrelers pick up the slack and kill two of them!
they are too close for the GT so i turn it towards the lions and hope to deviate onto them
i manage to clip one lion, and kill it!

CC : the rest of my warriors fighting the lions die, i kill maybe a couple more.

HE turn 4:

movement: lions charge the tower, princes reform to charge the GT, seaguard continue to flee.

magic: gets off flesh to iron on the lions.

CC: lose all me quarrelers!!! not really surprised...

Dwarf turn 4:

movement: maneuver hammerers to charge the tower. reform warriors to charge the dragon princes.

shooting: try to deviate onto the lions again, but miss

CC: runesmith dies fast T_T lions take the tower

Elf turn 5:

movement: dragon princes charge the GT

magic: mage gets off throne of vines and flesh to stone

CC: dragon princes do 3 wounds to my GT, go go engineer!!!!

dwarf turn 5:

movement: warriors charge the dragon princes, hammerers charge the lions

magic: i dispel throne of vines

CC: lose all but 4 hammerers, dont do much in return (T:7 lions are tough!)
kill the dragon princes and manage to hang onto my GT!!!

HE turn 6:

no movement.

magic: rolls really well, 9 die (3 & 4 with item and channel) to my 4 die.
box cars on throne of vines gets the pie plate of doom, killing all the lions and the hammerers
the mage and the BsB survive off of ward saves!

no CC...

Dwarf turn 6:

movement: move up with my last warrior block

shooting: drop a GT on the tower, doing 3 str 10 hits to both the bsb and the mage.
the bsb fails his ward saves and dies, the mage lives

game over!

ended on a draw, think he had like 29 points more than me.
