The Scenarios :clapping:

Terrain: Each game will have 8 Pieces of Terrain. No Terrain Piece will be larger than 12X12" and no closer than 10" to another Terrain piece. Each Player will choose and set up 2 pieces of terrain. Each player will t...hen roll randomly for 2 pieces of terrain on the random generation table.

Armies: Each WHFBs army will be 3000 pts or less. Each Army will be chosen from legal codices and using the parameters set forth in the 8th Edition WHFB rule book. If you do not have a copy, please let me know as I will send you a PDF copy. Allied armies are allowed as set forth by the guidlines in that section of the WHFB rulebook.

Scenarios: 3 Scenarios will be used for our games. Each Scenario has a set-up and objective layed out. Standard set up for deployment order, terrain placement order, scout move order etc etc will be used unless otherwise stated.

Scenario 1: "Its Mine!" (D6 Roll of 1-2) :dwarf:

Number of Turns- 6 (Variable)

After Terrain Placement, Each player will roll off to determine deployment zones. Place a 4" x 4" marker in the center of the table and form an 18" bubble around said point. This is a NO DEPLOY zone. No model may begin Turn 1 of the game within this 18" bubble. The player with the highest roll chooses which table quarter he/she wishes to deploy in...The opposing player will get EITHER of the quarters on the opposite end of the table (1 not both)

Objective: The lords of each realm have discovered that there is a vast and powerful treasure in the area and now they race to achieve it. The player who controls the treasure at the end of the game wins.

Controlling the treasure- The army with a unit within 1 " of the treasure controls the treasure. If at the end of turn 6, no army controls the treasure or both armies have a unit within 1" the game continues until 1 army stands holding the objective...so powerful is the pull of this booty that the general would rather exhaust all their men than leave the field in failure.

Effects of the treasure: "Its SO Beautiful!" Any unit holding or contesting the treasure (within 1") is considered stubborn. Any unit within 3" of the treasure and not engaged in combat must check for stupidity (Units being led by the army General or a Character {not a veteran upgrade} need not check for stupidity)

Scenario 2: "They are coming...Prepare yourselves" (D6 Roll of 3-4) :hunter:

Number of Turns- 6 (Variable)

The Defender's army is surrounded and they have chosen this location to set their feet and hold. The enemy is closing in and now only courage and will can save them.

Defender/Attacker- Each player rolls a D6. The player with the highest dice roll gets to choose whether they want to be the attacker or defender. Do this BEFORE terrain is deployed.

Deployment: Mark the center of the table. From this point measure 12" out. This is the Defender's Deployment Zone. The Defender must Deploy ALL his forces within this area, including those which would normally be set up later (Hidden advancement for example)

Mark a line 6" away from any long table edge or 12" from any short table edge...The attacker may deploy anywhere up to this line.

The Attacker Deploys their army first (with the acception of scouts and hidden advancement of course)

Objective: The Attacker is out for Blood...they must completely Break the Defeneder's Army. The Attacker wins if they destroy (including any unit running from battle) the Defender's army {The Attacker loots and pillages the bodies, taking what they wish and bathing in the glory of the slaughter}. The Defender wins if when the game is called, their army still stands defiant {The Warhorns and Drums of their reinforcements drive the attackers away as cheers of Triumph go up throughout the formations} At the end of turn 6, roll a D6..on a 3+ (repeat at the end of Turn 7 with +1 to your Dice Roll) the Game ends and the Defender's reinforcements arrive driving the enemy away. The game can go a maximum of 8 rounds.

Scenario 3: "Get Away from MY TOWER!" (D6 Roll of 5-6) :wizard:
The armies have unwittingly chosen a battlefield in a land defended by a poweful wizard. (This scenario gets one extra piece of terrain...a Wizard's Tower placed in the center of the table) The armies must defeat one another while suffering the onslaught brought on by the rage of the area's wizard.

Number of Turns- 6

Deployment: After Terrain Set up, Each player rolls a D6. The highest gets to choose which long table edge he/she wishes to deploy in. The opposing player gets the other.

Objective: This is a battle points mission. Battle points will be calculated as below-

Kill the General/Force to Flee from Table- 3 pts
Kill a Lord/Force to Flee from Table- 2 pts (Cumulative with General Score)
Kill a hero/Force to Flee from Table- 1 pt (Cumulative with General Score)
Non-Warmachines-
Destroy/Force to Flee from Table a Core Unit- 1 pt
Destroy/Force to Flee from Table a Special Unit- 2 pts
Destroy/Force to Flee from Table a Rare Unit- 3 pts
Capture a Unit Standard- 1 pt
Capture a Battle Standard- 2 pts
warmachines destroyed- 1 pt

The Wizard's Tower- From inside this tower, the wizard will cast his magic upon the closest unit to the tower within 18" of his spells...So, great is his ability, that if multiple units are equally close to the tower, he will cast his spells on each of them (One from each army at most...this will occur at the end of the round)...The players may use dice from their dispell pools to use to dispell the wizard's magic.

Wizard's Spells (roll each turn to see which spell the wizard uses)

1-2 The Lore of Fire- Piercing Bolt of Burning (Casting score of 10)

3-4 The Lore of Heavens- Urannon's Thunderbolt (Casting score of 10)

5-6- The Lore of Beasts- The Amber Spear (Casting score of 10)

*Note, the Wizard will never roll dice to cast a spell...The casting score given is the Dispell difficulty needed

When Rolling for damage from the spells, the opposing player rolls for the wizard's attacks if your unit is hit.

*Note, the Wizard's Tower is protected by powerful spells...it is impervious to harm.
