Hi there,
Yesterday i played my 5th and 6th match of Fantasy!! So I’m pretty much a noob, so you’ll see a lot of faults. By the way English isn’t my primary language, so you’ll also see a lot of mistakes there!
My 5th match was against a good friend of mine with his Dark Elves.
We played both matches at 2220 points (stupid total) and in the first match I was going against something like this: ( he played a fun list)

BSB on Manticore
Lord on Dragon
2 Hydra
3x 5 Dark Riders
2x 5 Shades (1 unit with a Assassin)
2x 10 Unit Crossbowmen
2x 5 Harpies

Don’t really know which items he had on them so sorry on that part, I’ll ask him next time I see him. That was pretty much it, I didn’t like what I saw and I didn’t know how to deploy…
But it was my 5th game and I wasn’t really looking forward to it, so we started deploying.
I just deployed my warmachines and my blocks like:
Warriors- Hammerers-Warriors-Ironbreakers
Cannon-GT-ME-GT-OG-Cannon

It was really stupid of me to deploy in such a manner, because I knew I wouldn’t be able to defend my WM’s…
I needed to deploy everything in a corner and just start shooting the "I Swear too much" out of him… :hunter: But I only realized this after the game.

So then we started to play, I had first turn and I decided to shoot everything up, but it didn’t really work that well, my first cannon shot at the hydra but misfired and couldn’t shoot for 2 turns, then I fired my other one at a hydra and got 1 wound of. Then I started firing my GT’s, first one hit the hydra and two crossbowmen, so he killed the crossbowmen and did 2 wounds on the Hydra, then I shot the other GT at a Hydra but it drifted away and only hit 1 crossbowmen. Bad shooting phase 🙁
So it went on to him, and he moved everything towards me… He doesn’t have magic (woehoe party!!) so he starts shooting (he had 94 shots a turn!!), but he can’t aim so he just takes a wound of the organ gun and one of the right cannon.

Back to me! And I just move everything back a bit (made a BIG mistake here…) and start shooting again, only 1 cannon this turn so I start with this one on the other hydra, he takes 3 wounds of!! Then the OG takes the hydra down, and were on to the GT’s. The first one shoots at the other Hydra’s head and misses even with reroll’s, then shoots the other GT and he drifts off right on the manticore’s head, which he gives 2 wounds but doesn’t hurt the stupid BSB. :angry2:

And his second turn starts. 1 Dark rider that’s left charges my right cannon, then shades and assassin charge the other cannon, harpies charge a GT … Now the other charges, he charges his hydra, Dragon and manticore on my Warriors on the left… Then shooting starts, kills almost nothing… And on to combat, my warriors get stomped (pun intended). And then my Warmachines start getting rolls up. But the hydra gets killed and the manticore gets his 3rd wound, only 1 to go…

From this turn I saw that I pretty much flunked it, but I didn’t give up. I also saw this after deployment so yeah, I was bad.
For the rest of the battle I only killed his Manticore and a unit of harpies, then I finally give up…
But I was still able that to get it to turn five when I gave up.
All in all it was still very fun and we laughed a lot with my stupid mistakes ^^ but I learned a lot from that battle and I prepared for my 6th battle against VC, which I never played against, but I read a lot about it! So I was really excited!!
