"Bayou Battle" in Houston, TX is the next GT on my Dwarf's list with a playing field of 50-80 competators typically it can get tough. The Houston guys are all very competative and always give me a hard fight, now it's their home turf they are defending, so the Dwarfs of Barag Khaz are going to have to work to get another Undefeated record.

Painting is also a lower score here than other GT's so Battle is really the key to placing high, Composition is a new addition as a separate score from Sports. This may or may not hurt my Dwarfs as it's based upon strength of schedule with opponents ranking the armies they fought from softest to hardest and that forming a score along with judge-based scoring to round it out.

Soft scores have had a tendancy of helping me in other GT's but here I do much worse because of their emphasis on battle points, it's a good thing my Dwarfs are rock solid then, because they'll need to win lots of fights to reach the top!

For this Tournament I think I've finished developing my tactics and have tweeked the list about as far as it can go, so it's now about focus and remembering the lessons from the previous tournaments. It looks like Dwarfs, Orcs & Goblins, and Empire will be the most numerous armies in attendance. Fortunately Dark Elves (my most difficult opponent) will be in short supply. Daemons are in attendance, but fortunately they are not very numerous as they too cause me problems. The Lizardmen are potentially dangerous, but like Daemons are also not very numerous. So the hardest army books appear to be not as popular based upon initial counts on their website (we'll see if that changes). This means it'll be several battles between large blocks of infantry and alot of artillery on the fields... my favorite.

I got to play a single practice battle Friday night before the Tournament: 2500 pts -VS- Vampire Counts
