2524, Sea of Claws, Olde World
The longship’s dragon prow rose and fell in the heaving waves, the tell-tale coral swirls; a plateau of growth lay to port waiting to grind the ship upon its razor hard spines. Olaf calmly moved the tiller to starboard as other reef heads were exposed beyond, as the sea rose away from them, the single mast groaning under the weight of turn. One of the reef caps ground up under the hull with a long grating noise, but then the sleek longship was through and Olaf strained his eyes but could see no others.

Olaf stayed where he was, muscles rippling beneath his heavy cloak, lungs heaving to draw in air through the bitterly cold salt spray. The longship suddenly bucked upward as green-veined wave crashed beneath, forcing several of the Hung crewmen to their knees even as the massive stone bier strapped to the deck strained against the ropes holding it in place. With a shriek that was unlike anything he had heard before, Olaf watched as the sea parted sending the longship racing down into a black gulley before tossing it high again…

Hoarfrost fought against the howling winds, the ancient Chaos Dragon moving forward under the powerful pinions of ancient wings. The monstrous worm ignored the stinging ice spray as it soared just above the thirty two foot waves that crashed across the Sea of Claws. The dragon dipped one head low to scan the waves while the other stayed focused forward, the not yet seen silhouette of home somewhere beyond the raging storm. As the dragon peered at the rolling seas, it caught a glimpse of something bobbing in the water and with a simple turn of its wings, dropping to get a closer look…

Olaf held on to the tiller with all his might, the bier moving to port as the waves pushed the longship with diagonal waves. Around him the crashing and grinding of the water, the wind screaming in a high wail, and the shouts of horrified crewmen heralded the snapping of ropes as the bier broke free of its bounds and rolled towards the gunwale, the longship tipping with the movement as the weight of the bier came to bear. Several Norsemen were cast into the sea as the ship lurched to port, another was squashed to a bloody pulp beneath the shifting stone.

Olaf was sickened by the sight but could do little but try and tack to starboard in a vain chance to right the listing vessel. Ice filled his veins, beyond the head of a nearby crewman, he saw it. A monster appeared on the horizon, a wave that blocked out the sky, staining it deepest black, a churning wall of water that rose higher and higher on the horizon. He opened his mouth to shout but he could not speak, could not breath, could not think.

An instant before the wave hit he took his hand away from the tiller, a self-protective instinct, throwing an arm over his face even as he knew it was a senseless, wasted gesture. He reached back for the tiller but it was gone, he was sealed in a coffin of water, he went down choking, hands gripping emptiness…

…Hoarfrost saw the mammoth wave rise before the pitiful human vessel and delighted as it washed over the long ship, casting crew, timber and rigging into the depths of the sea. The vessel however remained upright, the strange chunk of rock on its deck seemed to have kept it from capsizing, instead now the longship spun like a top in the raging sea. Dipping one wing low, gleaming wing claw reflecting the balefire in the dragons eyes, Hoarfrost dove towards the hapless vessel, maws opening into a roar as it swept across the whitecaps and reared up out of the drakness…

From the blackness of the sea, Olaf spun in the surging water, his bones and organs already starting to numb from the freezing waters. As a giant wave fell before him, Olaf saw a huge and terrible shape materialize from the suffocating darkness, foam and ice gleaming along its serpentine body, twin heads roaring above the pounding of waves and shrieking wind. The dragon came up short, powerful wings bringing it to a halt just above the foredeck. Several Norsemen, still clustered on the decks, took shots at the beast with spear and hurled axe, many of them missing as the deck pitched, others failing to strike vital areas. The dragon opened one fanged maul and a blast of freezing ice erupted from its throat, coating the men and the vessel in a prison of ice. Crewmen froze where they stood, the ice slowly covering their skin and closing off airways as hearts froze and shattered under the subzero onslaught. The stone bier shattered as well under the onslaught, breaking apart and falling in chunks upon the deck. Soon the vessel began to take on water as it split under the weight of the ice and started to founder…

…Hoarfrost watched as the longship broke apart, both maws spilt into toothy grins as the vessel began to go under, timbers shattering and casting the remaining crew into the ocean, many bobbing in the water like tops, encased as they were in tombs of ice. But the dragon was taken aback when the bier aboard the vessel shattered, revealing a cavity within, the remains of a royal clad Dwarf spilling upon the deck, its glowing hammer visible in the gathered gloom, a welter of gold and other treasures spilling across the ruined deck. Reaching down with massive talons, Hoarfrost plucked the ruined vessel from its watery grave, a fountain of gold falling from the deck into the churning icy water as the dragon drew the ship close to its armored belly, the Dwarven treasures secured against its heaving flanks as the beast turned away from the wreckage below and continued on its homeward journey, the distant island still beyond the veil of darkness…

…Olaf could only watch as the dragon disappeared from sight, his heart seizing in the cold waters, his ice covered eyelids closing as the sea rose and swallowed him in its unforgiving maw…

Hello fellow Dawi,

This is a teaser Trailer for the slayerbrotherhood campaign. The sign-ups are planned for the 31st october so that's in a mere 2 weeks or so. It will be a mini-campaign that will likely run for a month, it'll have 4 factions of max. 5 players each. This campaign will be organised by me and Cap'n BlackSquig, also known as the organisator of Carribean Dawn. It may be possible that you now think: UHm, willah, the A.org campaign is up now......
Yes that's very treu, i even joined it (join the fallen!!!) but this will be very minor and i think they wouldn't even notice of it's existance. (unless they read this...)

I hope to see you on The SlayerBrotherhood soon. (glares at Alaric)

Cheerz, TW
ps: Blacksquig has a problem joining this forum somehow, any idea what's the problem?
