Current population: 3700, roughly equally divided amongst all the clans. The Malnarsons have been on a grudge quest for a couple of decades now, and are not expected back soon. They numbered 200 strong, but their current number is unknown.

Summary: Karak Wyr is one of the smaller holds in the Grey Mountains. Most holds in the Grey Mountains and the Vaults are inhabited by descendants of the clans that fled the fallen holds in the south of the Worlds Edge Mountains and Karak Wyr is no different. For the most part, these clans originate from Karak Drazh, or Black Crag as it is called now. The low population has resulted in a high percentage of machinery being used to carry out heavy tasks. This has made the Engineering Guild a powerful political organisation since they are needed for the day to day running of the Hold. This also means that the guild has been allowed more leeway in constructing new machines and contraptions which has led to the creation of sizeable air fleet for so small a hold.

Customs/rituals:
- During most festivals, the various clans wear white clothing or bits of lothing lik armbands or headbands that are white. During periods of mourning however, black clothing decorated with the rune of Drazh is worn to symbolise and remind of the loss of the Hold of origin. It’s also customary to die one’s own hair black as well.
- It's close proximity to the Athel Loren forest and its outskirts provides them with an easy source of fuel for the ovens and cooking fires. This does result in regular skirmishes with the wood elves.
