Sup all, just created an account because I had a pretty decent game last night that I actually took notes for and wrote up an email to my buddies and figured I could copy and paste it here and maybe someone would like to read it. I made a quick attempt to edit out profanity but I might have missed a few...just FYI. Anyway..hope you enjoy and enjoy this amazing Kindergarten quality Paint map i drew up. haha. Brown = hills, light green = forest, Elven waystone did nothing. Both other buildings were normal.

So you see the units in deployment.
Far left to right for jerm: Giant, Squig Herd, Mangler S, Night goblins, NG (LORD), NG (BSB, Lv4, Lv2), NG, SH, Mangler,SH, Doom divers, Rock lobba. 2 Spear chucks behind his lines.

My list (jerm you'll have to list yours..if you want)
LORDS + HEROES
Runelord on Anvil of Doom - 398 pts
2+ AS (shield/gromril/rune of stone), Rune of Spellbreaking (dispel scroll), Rune of Balance (take one power die from opponent, add to dispel pool)

Thane -BSB 169
(1+ Rerollable AS, GW, Rune of Challenge (force unit within 20" to charge if they can legally do so)

CORE
39 Dwarf Warriors - GW - Full command - 415
39 Dwarf Longbeards - hw/shield - Full command - rune of take break test on single die (one use only) - 513

SPECIAL
35 Hammerers - full command - Rune of slowness (subtract d6" from units charging them) - 470
Cannon - Runes of Forging/Burning - 130
Grudge Thrower - Rune of Pen x2, Rune of Accuracy - 155
Grudge Thrower - Rune of Penx1, Rune of Accuracy - 130

RARE
Organ Gun - 120

D1: So I win first turn. Move up like an inch. Cannon snipes right most Mangler Squig (cuz **** them..) doing exactly 3 wounds killing it. Both of my grudgethrowers misfire...one blows up and gives Jerm 130 pts right off the bat. THANKS DWARVES. The other just cant shoot this turn. The Organ gun is out of range. The Anvil does Wrath and Ruin and does d6 hits to left Squig Herd (SH). Kills 2 squigs, they have half movement next turn.

OG1: Generals unit fails animosity. Everyone else moves up pretty much full steam. The wizard/bsb bunker gets within an inch of the building. MAGIC! he rolles 6+4=10. I take one and get 3 for Runelord and Anvil. Leaves me with 10 and him with 9. He casts Itchy Nuisance (IF) on the hammerers, lowering their M and INI by 4!!! So they are now 0 movement and 0 initiative, but min is 1. Miscast is small template, kills 5 gobbos and puts a wound on the Lv2 sham-wow. SHOOTING! This is ridiculous. Spear Chucka (SC) to anvil, needs a 5 to hit. Gets it. Ok, randomize 5-6 hits Runelord, gets it. Ok..roll to wound, 3+. Gets it. Ok, 4++ save, fail it. D3 wounds..1 wound. SC#2 misses. Doom Diver (DD) #1, Anvil hits it. Randomize the d6 S5 hits, all crew. Rolls two wounds (i forget my ward save) they die. DD#2, Anvil, hits again. d6 S5 hits NO AS. does 3 wounds, I save 2. Down to 1 wound. Rock Lobba, Anvil. Hits AGAIN!! 2+ to wound, wounded. 4++ save!!! Fails...398 points to Jerm, +100 for general AND magic superiorty effectively taking 4 dispel dice from my side.

D2: Shift Longbeards (LB) back a bit to make the giant charge a little harder. (needs 10+) Hammerers angle to take on SH's and NG's on right side of building. Shooting. Grudgethrower decides to hit, killing 14 goblins from the big 40 unit on the right side of building. They pass Panic. Cannon snipes the other Mangler Squig (cuz **** them..and im not worried about the giant..) Organ Gun gets 6 hits on Squig Herd next to the NG's i just landed a rock on. Kills 2 Squigs and 2 handlers.

OG2: No charges. General fails animosity again! haha. Stuff moves up, Wizards go into building. Magic does nothing. This turn or next his Lv2 dies to a magic mushroom, can't remember which turn. Gobbo magic is "I swear too much" anyway, at least most of their spells (see OG turn 3..)....SHOOTING! Doom Diver kills 3 Dwarf Warriors. Rock Lobba blows itself up. (its ok, im pretty sure it made its points back haha) I think the other DD hits a war machine and cant get past the T7. The rest misses.

D3: Warriors move up to receive charge, and im thinking im gonna pull the Giant in with the rune of challenge so I angle the Longbeards to flank it if i stick around. Hammerers move up an inch or so. Organ gun to the weakened squig herd, roll a 4. Reroll it into a 10. Randomize to put 4 on the herders and kill them all, the unit pops and kills a few squigs from the next unit and a few gobbos. Cannon puts 1 wound on the giant to soften him up. Grudgethrower lands on the building, but i roll like a f** and only kill one gobbo. (d6 hits for units in building)

OG3: I let the Giant charge the Longbeards fearing he would stuff my BSB in his pocket. The Squig Herd and Night Gobbos charge my GW Warriors. The squig herd doesn't make it. He backs up the stuff in front of my hammerers as its all weakened significantly. His general finally gets to march and makes it to within 12" of the important stuff. Magic. He gets like 11 dice to my 6. Casts some crappy spells and steals 2 of my dice...really?! Then he 6 dices CURSE OF THE BAD MOON, gets IF. NOT something you want going through your hammerers. Of course he chooses initiative test. Large Template. rolls like 3 6's on the distance roll. It goes through at least 26 hammerers. I lose 18 of them (i rolled really well...)..14 left..GOOOOOOO!!!! Pass my panic, LD9 rerollable...come on.. He rolls on miscast table and loses 1 wizard level and the spell and the ability to cast anything else. COMBAT! Giant yells and bawls...wins by 2. I pass steadfast break test. My warriors rip the night goblins new holes. I don't know how many i kill but i win combat by 11. 18 hatred S5 attacks will do that.. Hes steadfast, passes because his general decided to wake the f up and lead the troops. I reform for ranks.

D4: 14 Hammerers say F IT, we don't need no reform or education...charge the Squig Herd!! Cannon snipes a Doom Diver. Grudge Thrower fails. COMBAT! 7 Hammerers dies before they get to strike. 7 or so left..hit with everything thanks to hatred, 6 wounds. I win combat by 1 as i have charge and banner. He's on 3 rerollable (barely in BSB range). He breaks and pops, I overrun to get out of charge arc of the Night gobbos, who are down to about 25. Giant does Thump with Club, kills 4-ish. I parry one. I whiff..BIG TIME. Hit with 8-9 attacks, and roll 0, 5+ to wound rolls. He thunderstomps a few more. Pass my steadfast breaktest. Pass test to reform into horde for more attacks. My warriors continue to rip the Night Goblins apart, they lose combat and i have one more rank so they are on double 1's with reroll. Fail and run. I restrain as i dont want squigs in my flank and Lord in my front.

OG4: Night gobbos to the right of building fail animosity. Left gobbos rally next to GW Warriors. Squig Herd charges my GW warriors but can't really wheel past the rallied gobbos so they only have 2 touching to my 2. BSB makes way. The remaining Doom Diver kills 4 out of the 5 hammerers. (those things are accurate as hell!) Spear Chucka 1 misses. Spear Chucka 2 needs a 4+. Hits and wounds, killing the last hammerer and netting Jerm some major points. Magic does nothing, he has no direct damage spells and his hexes/augments aren't great. Combat! The giant picks up a Longbeard and spears him into the GW Warriors, killing a few. The Longbeards, outraged, hack him into little pieces Scoring SIX WOUNDS on the big retard!! The GW warriors lose 2 guys to the squigs, but with the help of the Thane win combat by 4 and pop the SH, electing to reform to face the Night Gobbo Lord.

D5: Charge the reformed goblins with Longbeards and GW Warriors. They flee. Longbeards chase but dont catch. GW Warriors test to redirect and pass charging the Lords unit. I think I pick off the other Doom Diver..or i don't ..can't remember. Combat! The Warriors make short work of the goblins. Though the Lord pops a toughness pot and is unwoundable, and kills my champion in a challenge. The goblins fail their Ld7 rerollable steadfast and get run down.

OG5: Jerms turn is just attempting to take down a warmachine with his Spear Chucks, but they both fail.

Its late, and we're out of beer so we call it.

VPs 1610 vs 1098 - Solid Victory to the Dwarves! Fun game though! I definitely think I had a competitive list and gobbos just really ...aren't..
