A couple of weeks ago I played with a friend a game against daemons. Finally I found the time to write a battlereport. It was a strange game and I'm really curious to hear your toughts.

Dwarf Throng:
Runelord + Anvil Of Doom
Mr of Balance, R of Spellbreaking, R of Fournace
R of Stone, R of Resistance

BSB
Mr of Gromril + R of Resistance + R of Immunity
R of Fire
R of Fournace

29 Hammerers + Mu + St (BSB goes here)
30 Warriors Gw + Mu + St
10 Quarrellers (GW)
10 Thunderers (Shield)
25 Miners St + Mu
1 Grudge Thrower (1x R of Penetration, R of Accuracy) + Eng (BoP)
1 Organ Gun
1 Gyro (Finally I painted it so I swapped my cannon for it. We played with house rules, partial = hit)

Daemon Host

1 greater Daemon of Khorne (2d6+2 Attacks, Armour of Khorne, Reroll to hit)
1 Herald of Slaansh (Siren Song)
1 Herald of Khorne (+1 St & flaming Attack + Armour of Khorne)
1 Herald of Tzeentch (loremaster - Life)
1 Mask of Slaanesh
24 Daemonettes
24 Bloodletters
2 x Fiends of Slaanesh
2x3 Flamers
2x5 Furies

Deployment

Dwarfs (Left To Right): Quarrellers, Grudge Thrower, Gyro, Hammerers (with BSB), Organ Gun, Warriors, Thunderers, Anvil of Doom

Daemons (Left to Right): Fiend of Slaanesh, Flamers #1, Grater Daemon of Khorne (Behind flamers), Flamers #2, Furies #2, Herald of Tzeetntch (behind), Daemonettes (with Herald), Furies #1, bloodletters (with Herald)

I tried to confuse my opponent dropping the quarrellers on the left first (partially in the forest and turned out to be a venomous one), then the thunderers on the extreme right and then Gyro in the center. Sadly deamons had too many chaff units so I was forced to commit my main blocks before them. I deployed in a corner trying to maximize the miners.

Depite the "+1" I lost the roll for the first turn.

TURN 1 - DAEMONS

General advance for Daemons. Daemonettes entered in the central forest (turned out to be a "fungus forest"). Flamers were out out range, so no shooting. Winds of magic blew weak so his only spell was a Flash to Stone on the bloodletters (easily dispelled by the Runelord).

TURN 1 - DWARFS

Movement

Warriors and Hammerers moved near the Organ Gun to stop a possibile charge from the furies in the next turn, Gyro moved on the right behind my main combat blocks, ready for action in the next turn, after much thinking I placed thunderers in the building (in this way I missed a round of shooting but, if daemons wants to kill them they have to charge the building and stop their advance towards my line, if they ignore them, thunderers could be a real pain when in short range).

Shooting Phase

Easy things firts: Quarrellers put 1 wound ont the fiend of Slaanesh.
Scared by the Greater daemon of Khorne I focused on him all my firepower:
Orgun Gun 8 Hits, 3 Wound, ALL SAVED.
Grudgde Thrower: Direct Hit, Wound, but his 5+ Ward saved him once again!
Now things looked grim so I tried to use Rune of Wrath and Ruin with ancient power. It worked and the rune affected 3 units!
I slowed down daemonettes (killing 3 in the process), Bloodletter (killing 2 in the process), and the Greater Deamon (I rolled a 10 for the numer of hits and somehow managed to do 2 wounds but both were saved once again).

Overall a nearly perfect shooting phase for the Dwarfs, but sadly, little damage were done.

TURN 2 DAEMONS:

Movement

Mask of Slaanesh charged Thunderers in the building.
Fiend of Slaanesh moved behind quarrellers on the left (setting for an easy charge on the GT next turn)
Both flamers units mooved towards GT
General advace on the right side with both Furies and Fiend of Slaanesh rushing towards my backfiled.

Magic:

All power dice thrown on Dwellers on Hammerers (failed to meet casting value).

Shooting Phase:

Both Flamers units tried to kill the Grudge Thrower. An impressive volume of fire but due to movement, forest, long range and Toughness 7 no wounds were done.

Combat:

Now I learned how broken the mask of Slaanesh is. She did his dance of -D3 Ld (-1 as a result) but the Chaos Gods weren't on his side and, despite WS 10 and the 3++ Ward Save somehow thunderers managed to do 1 wound for no losses. Draw combat so, nothing happends.

TURN 2 DWARFS

Miners didn't show up.

Movement:

Herald of Slaanesh used Siren Song on Thunderers (so I was forced to leave the building. At least I placed them in a way to block the bloodletters advance) - Note: Apparently I messed something with battle chronicle because Daemonetes were something like 14" from thunderers but in the picture they seems faaaaar away.

Quarrellers reformed to block a charge against GT (all passed dangerous terrain test)
Hammerers adavance blocking the path of the Daemonettes and ready to receive the charge from the Greater Daemon (at this point I had poor chances of kill him in single round of shooting)
Warriors moved a little towards Bloodletters, hopefully setting themselves for a combo charge with miners in the next turn.
Gyro (protecetd by thunderers from a possibile charge in the daemon turn) advance towards Bloodletters.

Shooting:

Gyro killed 4 bloodletters.
GT aimed at Greater Daemon but scattered 8" harmlessy away.
Organ Gun shot at Greater Daemon rolled a 2 re-rolled into a 6. 3 wounds were done. But 2 were saved once again. Doh! Khorne really loves this guy....
Trying to slow his advance and force him in a frontal charge against hammerers I used Anvil, Rune of Wrath and Ruin (normal power) on Greater Daemon (no wounds, as expected).
