So, my first (two) batreps on this forum, spirits for all who gives feedback!

I played two battles this weekend with a friend who normally only play 40k, but wanted to try on fantasy. He wanted to play something undead so he proxied TK for two battles.

First battle: 1000p

Minimal terrain (two forest, one magical mystery) for simplicity.

My list: Wanted to go light since my friend haven't played much fantays at all, no fun crushing newbies!

Thane
RofMight, RofStone, RofResistance, shield

1x20 warriors (Deployed 4x5)
GW, Mus, Stan

1x10 thunderers (Deployed 2x5)
Shields

1x19 ironbreakers (Deployed 4x5 with Thane)
Stan, Mus

1x6 Slayers (Deployed 2x3)

BT
Eng

OG

Friend's list: He overdid his hero choices, but otherwise kinda hit the nail (he didn't want me to help)

Liche priest (hierophant)
Lvl 2, Nehekhara (move spell and ward save spell)

Liche priest
Lvl 1, Nehekhara (move spell)

Liche priest
Lvl 1, Light (Sign spell, the buffable magic missile)

3x10 Archers (Deployed 2x5 with a priest in each)

1x10 Warriors (Deployed 2x5)

1x6 Chariots (Deployed 2x3)
Stan

1x3 Necropolis knights

The terrain was placed in a line on the middle of the table (forest-mystery-forest)

I deployed in my left corner (castle, quarter of a cirkel shape) from left to right: warriors, OG, IB (thane), Slayers, BT, Thunderers (those were in line with the table edge)

My friend deployed (from my view, left to right from my left corner) Archers (hierophant), Warriors, NK, Archers (lvl 1 Nehekhara), Chariots, Archers (lvl 1 light)

I get first round, move everything forward about 2", BT shoot at Chariots but miss.

Friends first round: Moves everything forward, lvl 1 get buffed move spell on IF and take a wound, some archers die, everything move again, I cancel rest of the magic. No shooting

My second turn: The chariots and the NK are now fairly close already, I move my warriors and IB forward, thinking the NK will charge the IB and not the warriors since the forest is in the way of the warriors. Count on the chariots to charge my thunderers. Shoot BT at Nk, miss... Shoot OG and thunderers at Chariots and kills one and pluck two wounds from another.

Friends second turn: Charge his NK through the forest into the front of my warriors, Chariots charge front of my IB. He moves the rest forward, get one or two spells of, heals his units a little, pluck a thunderer or two and a wound off the OG. Warriors manage to kill one NK, but lose a lot of bodies, stands thanks to steadfast. Chariots break like a wave upon a rock in the fron of my IB, only manage to kill two and lose two and a half chariot in return.

My third turn: Charge my Slayers into the chariots flank, BT hit a skellie but fail to wound, OG fail, thunderers shoot some skellies. My warriors are cut down like weeds, but manage to hold anyway, my friend save everything on his NK. IB and Slayers crush the chariots and make reforms to face the NK in the flank.

Friends third turn: He move his units forward. In the magic phase he gets really lucky... His lvl 1 get off a buffed magic missile, d6 hits S6, at my IB block, IF it and take a wound and kills his whole unit bar one skellie, wounds five IB, I fail to save, the unit panik and run off the field :shok:. He heals up a NK with one wound and finishes off the warriors, reform to face OG.

My fourth turn. I know that the battle is lost but try anyway, Slayers charge the Warriors. OG kills of the one-wound NK, BT miss, thunderers get revenge and kills off the lvl 1 light priest and his friend. Slayers are cut down to a man by the warriors, doesn't do much in return.

I give up.

Wrong by me: to see the forest as a too solid object, liked how the six-man slayer unit worked though.

Phew, one batrep...

Is that advertisement on my first "friend" something usual?
