3-4. Extra Hand Weapon
5-6. Great Weapon

3-Great Weapon
4-Dwarf Pistol
5-Crossbow
6-Handgun

Step 4: Experience/Favor Points

The hero leading the warband can gain experience, which can lead to him leveling up. Whenever 6 points are earned, roll on the experience table below. In addition, the points may be spent to buy more troops.

The format will look like this: x/xxx
The first 'x' represents how much favor points the warband has. The xxx represents the total number earned, so as to keep track of the hero's experience.

Playing a battle: +2
Taking an enemy hero out of action: +4
Winning a battle: +2
Taking every enemy model out of action: +2
Refusing a challenge: -2

For every 6 points earned, the hero levels up. Roll 2d6. Re-roll if at racial maxium (ie: dwarf lord)

Upgrades
2-4: Runic Item (see next table)
5: +1 BS
6: +1 WS
7: +1 I
8: +1 W
9: +1 A
10: +1 Ld
11-12: Runic Item

Runic Items. Re-roll for duplicates
2-3: Hammer of the Storm God: In the shooting phase the hammer may be thrown 12'', in which it turns into a bolt of lightning. Everything underneath it takes a S4 hit that ignores non-magical armor saves. In close combat it just ignores non-magical armor saves.

4-5: Shield of Flowing Steel: +1 to Parry. Whenever a successful parry is made, the dwarf may make 1 free attack back.

6-7: Helm of Farsight: d3 models may be deployed anywhere on the table after all of deployment is finished

8-9: Book of Grudges: May re-roll the grudge roll at the start of the game, though the second result stands (this goes to show that carefully looking through the book of grudges can actually calm down the dwarfs when they realize that the grudge isn't as bad as they thought). Additionally, the dwarfs gain frenzy if they already hate the enemy and the grudge roll comes up as hatred again.

10-11: Armor of Gazul: 3+ AS. When the dwarf loses his last wound, he gets to stay on his feet with a successful toughness test. Only works the first time that the dwarf loses his last wound

12: The Horn of Valaya: Campaign ends

Casualties

Whenever a model goes OOA, roll a d6. On a '1' he dies. This can be re-rolled for 1 fortune point. The second result stands

Playing the Campaign

Each game the dwarfs must decide to search one of the areas of the lost hold. Each game might have a different scenario/victory conditions. In general, the deeper they go into enemy territory, the more dangerous it becomes. This can have an affect on not only the difficulty level and scenario, but also the rewards.

Section F: Dwarven controlled territory, the waypoint from which the expedition strikes forth.

Section E: The Battleground. Any and all factions can be found there.

Sections A, B, C, D: Controlled by human looters, intent on scraping every last piece of gold or equipment from the old hold. For glory and profit.

Sections I, L: Controlled by Skaven

Sections H, G: Controlled by Goblins

Winning the Campaign

To win the campaign, the shield must be found. It can also be found by the other factions, as there will be a small chance of that happening. If another faction finds the shield, the dwarfs must steal it away before it is gone forever. To determine this, the humans, goblins and skaven all get to roll 2d6 after each turn. On the roll of an 11-12, they find a runic item. If one of them defeated the dwarfs, they get -1 to this roll. If they get +1 to the roll.
