Evening all,

Just a bit of fun for a game tomorrow. Fighting against Dark Elfs. Mission is narrative as part of a campaign (Good V Evil backstory), where the Dwarfs are attempting to gain the allegiance of the Ogres. Enjoy, let me know if the list is any good, interesting to hear thoughts!

Hunger Pains

Karlog fidgeted on his seat, fighting the swell of hunger that was building within him. He hadn't eaten in days. The whole Stronghold was starving from the lack of food. They had encountered very few animals or humans in their travels despite hunting well travelled paths and woods. He could just grab him and eat him, he thought, staring jealously at the plump orange haired Dwarf addressing the Warlord. He licked his lips in anticipation.

"Ere, Juzzle, we could eat him when he finished wiv da boss" he whispered to the Butcher next to him, as quietly as an Ogre could.

Juzzle screwed up his face in horror at the proposition and for a moment Karlog thought he had something to offend him.
"Dat ain't no ordinary stuntie, Karlog. Dats one of dem Slayer fings. Dats why they dye their hair dem stoopid colours." Juzzle replied eventually.

"A Slayer? What on erf is dat?" Karlog asked, leaning in closer, a dumbfounded look on his face.

"Dey look for deaf, doe's ones. Fightin' big monsters and stuff. Nasty fings. Why else do you fink the boss hasn't eaten 'im yet?" Juzzle responded, pleased that he seemingly knew something someone else didn't.

"He don't look dat tough." Karlog said to himself, albeit louder than he anticipated.

The room fell silent and all eyes fell upon him.

Juzzle shuffled away from him slowly.

"You got something to add, Karlog?" the Warlord enquired, his grasp of the common tongue significantly better. "Perhaps you wanted to prove yourself against this Dwarf?"

Karlog began to panic at the prospect and the Warlord smiled at his discomfort. "Erm. Well no boss. You see. I was sayin' dat he don't look tough. On erm. He don't look dat tough to eat. Dats it boss, honest." Karlog blabbered, hoping his pathetic mewling was enough to avoid any conflict with the now angry looking Dwarf.

Juzzle shuffled a little further away.

The Warlord laughed heartily. "Master Dwarf, take no offense from this idiot. He like all Ogres, is simply thinking with his belly." he said, grabbing and jiggling his swollen gut for emphasis.

"Aye, we Dwarfs have a similar problem, Throgg Maneater." Thodir replied, smiling, the tension in the room lifting instantly.

"You being an interesting proposition to me, Thodir. As you know, we Ogres and the Dwarfs don't share an illustrious history of cooperation, so it seems odd that you should suggest it."

"We must put aside previous transgressions, Throgg. There is a greater threat to the Old World that we must address." Thodir said.

"As you know, an army marches on its stomach, Thodir. We have found very little in the way in the food here. You claim you can change this?" Throgg asked, leaning forward inquisitively.

Thodir smiled knowing this was his chance. "Do you have a taste for Elf flesh perchance?"

Throgg's eyes widened at the mention, confirming the intelligence Thodir had gathered.

"Do I!?" Throgg replied emphatically. "It is my favourite!"

"Then I know just the place."

Scenario Special Rules

Elvish Harvest: During an Ogre harvest, unfortunate individuals are plucked from the ranks for the purposes of feeding the stronghold. Stuffed into a smelly sack of similarly ill-fated individuals, these poor souls can expect a terrible death at the hands of the Butchers. Not all chosen foes reach the stronghold however. A 'lucky' few are stuffed into the jaws of hungry soldiers as tasty mid-battle snacks.
When a Dark Elf model suffers an unsaved wound, you must roll to see the fate of warrior in question. If the target is slain by a model from the Ogre Kingdoms, roll a single D6 an consult the table below. Models slain by Impact Hits cannot be rolled for (they are suitably flattened).
1 - "Whoops" - The Elf is bludgeoned or sliced into a sorry sack of meat, not even fit for the pot.
2 - "Don't Mind If I Do" - The unfortunately (or lucky depending on perspective Elf) is devoured by a hungry warrior. The unit immediately regains a single wound.
3-6 - "This Looks Like A Plump One" - The model immediately is applied to the armies total.

Models slain by Dwarfs in close combat automatically apply the "This Looks Like A Plump One" result.

An Army Marches on Its Stomach: Apply the total of models collected to the table below at the end of the battle. The corresponding results are applied to the Ogre Kingdoms army at the beginning of the 'Final Battle'.
10 (Slim Pickings) - The Dwarfs and Ogres are Trusted Allies.
25 (A La Carte) - Any Ogre models may reroll a single D6 when they charge. They must accept the second result
40 (Buffet) - All Ogre models have +1 Leadership
50+ (Veritable Feast) - Your General is Stubborn.
