So, I've been reading my Army Book for a while and I've decided to start re-organising my forces a little. I've come up with a list that I think is pretty decent and includes some lovely old, Grumbling Santa Dwarfs with the classic Hand Weapon and Shield. I've run into a few problems with the list, of course, like the relatively low Unit count (it's only really got 3 blocks of infantry). I'm looking for your opinions on the subject. Also, for Fluff reasons I've given every character and unit a name. I just thought it would be fun. Anyway, any and all criticism is wanted, provided you aren't mean about it. So, here's the list:

Lords & Heroes

Throki Blackshield

Dwarf Lord on Shieldebearers w/ Master Rune of Snorri Spanglehelm, Rune of Might, Rune of Parrying, Rune of Stone and 3 Runes of Warding - 310 pts.

Varrin Fire-Hammer

Dwarf Runesmith w/ Shield, 2 Runes of Spellbreaking and Rune of Stone - 113 pts.

Snorri Granitefist

Dwarf Thane w/ Shield, Rune of Warding and Rune of Stone, Battle Standard Bearer - 113 pts.

Total - 536 pts.

Core Units

Throki's Old-Guard

29 Dwarf Longbeards w/ Full Command, Hand Weapons and Shields - 407 pts.

The Silver-Bolt Clan

19 Dwarf Quarellers w/ Full Command and Great Weapons - 296 pts.

Total - 703 pts.

Special Units

The Hands of the King

19 Dwarf Hammerers w/ Full Command and Banner with Master Rune of Valaya - 361 pts.

The Steel Raven

Gyrocopter w/ Vanguard - 100 pts.

Grimnir's Hatred

Dwarf Cannon w/ Rune of Forging and Rune of Burning - 150 pts.

Total - 611 pts.

Rare Units

The War-Howl of Clan Blackshield

Organ Gun w/ Rune of Accuracy and Rune of Burning - 150 pts.

Total - 150 pts.
Grand Total - 2,000 pts.

Basic Plan of action is Lord in Shieldbearers, BSB in Longbeards, Runesmith somewhere. Shoot the bad guys for a couple of turns, charge w/ Longbeards or let them be charged, charge w/ the Hammerers, do whatever with the Quarellers, shoot some more with the war machines. Pretty simple, really. Annyways, I'd love to hear any thoughts anyone has on it, any improvements I should make etc.
Thanks muchly,
Snorri.
