Hey fellow 9th agers,
I’ve been looking over the rulebook of 9th age, trying to squeeze my old throng into a new rulessystem.
I’ve come across something that seems counter intuitive and would like your insights.
A boltthrower shoots at ap10 and has rank-piercing rules. A cannon, which also shoots at ap10, seems to be missing this rule.
A cannon gets a bonus for shooting at flying monsters... is it me, or have the devs completely missed the point of what cannons do? Shouldn’t the boltthrower (which seems the best option vs units) be a better option vs flyers? Who ever heard of cannons shooting skywards?
Shouldn’t their rules be reversed? Make the BT better against flyers and cannons better against units?
