Well, this situation at the abbey escalated very fast! And Lars was just trying to quietly walk out, complete his contract, and not get involved.

Well, if possible, I'm still going to try and resolve this diplomatically - otherwise Lars'll have to slash and role around as if his life depended on it.

Roll of 12 against 35 for a success. Slayer 1 attempts to twist free with a roll of 39 against 39 for a success.
Bretonnian – Wake up and grapple with Slayer 1
Roll of 97 against 30 for a critical failure. Bretonnian injures himself in the attempt taking 1 wound.
Slayer 2 – Ready Weapons
Tilean – Ready Weapons
Dwarf Captain – Charge Man from Bar
Dwarf Warrior 1 – Fire at Man from Bar
Roll of 34 for a failure.

Everything is finally ready to go. Sorry, for the delay in getting this posted. I'm also sorry, but the combat is officially over at this point. The Sound spell in question is going to trigger a shock wave that will most likely deafen each of you temporarily and possibly permanently. It will also cause parts of the building to collapse.
That said, the two dwarfs at the bell tower are now buried beneath rubble.
Lars - you are deaf for 12 minutes.
Bel Kabel - you are deaf for 6 minutes.
Yarick - you are deaf for 8 days. (Yes days! It was almost permanent based on the dice roll but the fortune point re-roll saved you.)
Mordrin - you are deaf for 8 minutes.
Everyone managed to avoid sections of the building collapsing. The Bretonnian is buried beneath a section of ceiling.

Hmm, Kabal maybe you could have been a bit more subtle
I assume that we're all knocked down, or is my combat between the Dwarf Captain still going on?
Poor Yarick, every RPG we play he ends up being shafted by the dice!

Combat is over as everyone recovers,picks themselves up, and dusts themselves off. Now if you want to stand back up and keep fighting, go for it. Otherwise, for at least 5 minutes (The lowest time rolled for healing lose) there will be no sound.
I also don't see a reason not to merge threads unless you all want to keep fighting. Basically, I'll get each thread an update written and then if you all decide to end the combat we can merge the threads.

Lars is going to leg it to the river crossing as fast as he can. He'll just ignore the Captain and the other Dwarfs.

Yeah Ragnar, the first roll was a straight 00 for the worst possible roll you could have. Thankfully the Fortune Point re-roll was an 87, so a failure but not a critical failure. If you want to shorten the time frame down, you can send me a PM to spend a Fate Point if you want. A few have been used by other characters already so feel free to use one of yours if you want. Remember, they are there to reverse bad effects or death if you need them.
