So.. Having plugged away at my dwarfs for a while now, I started a topic ing the Warhammer Diaries section, thinking it'd be a blog type thing. Unfortunately it's laid out a little different to how I imagined. There's half my army posted up there, and I thought I may as well post the other half here :) It's a bit more linear, as opposed to the Diaries section which is m ore 'Chapters' I guess.

Anyway here's a quick list of what (hopefully) this WIP thread should contain in the future!

Bugman's Brewers

Prince Ulther and his Dragons

Ironbreakers (this is my 'blocking' unit)

Longbeards (my other 'blocking' unit)

Landsknecht dwarfs

Goblobber

Flame Cannon

Flame thrower

Gyrocopter

Imperials

Thunderers

Quarrellers

Cannon

Bolt thrower

Anvil

Throne

White Dwarf

Burlok

Helga

Halfling hotpot

Lumpin Croop & archers

Holy moley! Writing it out is super daunting!

Here's what I've already done (this is extra to the list above)

Imperials x35

Hammerers x12

Slayers x13

Felix & Gotrek

Daemon Slayer

Spears x15

Flame Cannon

Gyrocopter

Marauding Giant

Thunderers x8

Imperial Lords (same sculpt different varients) x4

Wizards x4

White Dwarf x2

…………..

The blocking units are ones that I've started and then lost motivation for, so they need finishing.

Most everything now (bar the war machines) is undercoated and so ready for painting.

I am very pleased that the endless stripping of models is pretty much finished!

Here's a test piece for the Brewers that I painted today so I could get a handle on the model and hopefully speed things up a bit :)

That is a lovely dwarf! I like the highlighting on his tunic and the base.

Thanks! These older dwarfs have really rekindled my hobby enthusiasm at the moment. I kinda realise now what people mean when they say  'easy to paint'. Everything is well spaced and you kinda know what everything is!

Here's a wizard WIP from yesterday, and a pic of him finished (just now during breakfast), although - to be fair - it was only his base that needed doing :).

What happened to the background? Are you using a light box?

Nah, the phone was taken outside, and the background is a piece of A4 curved up against a plant pot :)

I took some photos of my thunderers this morning, although it looks like one of them may have had a run in with a bird :)

Very nice!
It’s great to see all the old metal painted so well.

And that Wizard is spectacular!

Thank you! I've just finished off the last wizard in my collection. There are a couple that I don;t have - the necromancer dwarf and Hagrid, although I've only seen Hagrid on the Citadel Combat Cards :)

I've the rest of the command to do and two more rank and files and then finished, which I'm looking forward too. The next lot will most likely be Prince Ulther, although I do have the crew for the Goblobber to do too...
