This seems interesting.

Gamesworkshop appear to be re-releasing models for old Warhammer armies in a "Made to Order" format. Dark Elves were first on the list, and the addition of Mengil's Manflayers to the list grants me quite a bit anticipation for what could be coming next.

Yes, I saw this too. I'm not interested in the Dark Elves they had, but I'm excited about the potential dwarfs they might bring out.

Does anyone have any idea as to when they'll be announcing a dwarf wave?

I'd guess it's include:

- 6th edition longbeards (they seem to go for the most money on ebay, so if they did a regiment, they'd be my guess)

- Ungrim Ironfist & Joseph Bugman

- I reckon the Queen Helgar model (prob.  not Drong though) as that goes for a lot on ebay, so is clearly very sought after

- The 6th/7th ed infantry characters (the ones that came out in the 2nd 6th ed dwarf release, if that makes sense)

- Maybe the king on shieldbearers

Thoughts?

Unfortunately there's no news on how such releases will be scheduled - my estimate would be monthly, or tied to a major AoS release.

On what I would expect/would be cool for Dwarfs:

- Bugman, Ungrim, maybe even Kragg the Grim and King Kazador - it would depend on how 'classic' Gamesworkshop are willing to go.

- Metal Slayers

- Flame Cannon

- Lord and hero choices, I.e the Lord on Oathstone

- Metal Longbeards - considering that there are plastic ones out I would say the chances of a re-release are minimum.

- Maybe Thorgrim and/or the Anvil if we're lucky.

Those are my thoughts.

Given that there's a Gotrek audio-drama coming out (starring Brian Blessed, no less), they should do a release of the old Gotrek and Felix minis. GW is spoiled for old metal releases, and sadly no matter what they release there will be those whom are disappointed. They'll also likely release a pdf for running a classic Dwarf army (as Grugni intended) as well. At least they're throwing us longbeards a bone rather than throwing us under a bus.

Well, it shows that Gamesworkshop care, which - in my mind at least - is the main thing.

I am really looking towards all these releases. I might even pick up some Non-bearded units, just for painting purposes.

Some old Empire models would be nice.

Yep - so many options are available if GW go Empire.
