Hi everyone,

Like the title says - post your Steel Behemoth!  :)

Since everyone has various ideas and thoughts on creating one, I'd love to see what people have made!

Great work Monty. He looks great. If he was permitted to use the wings of honeymaze thatd be even better!

As it is in Bones, I suppose that it should not be very hard to remove the wings.

I have another similar tank to build someday.  The scale with my dwarfs isn't great to be honest, the tank is kinda small if you consider the doors and stuff.

Going to get one of these from Ironclad myself. I might kitbash it with a Stephenson's Rocket model or something similar. The scale issue is tough because the base size (100x50mm) is quite small for what is likely for most people to be a tank or a steam-powered robot. The rules do have a bit of wiggle-room for monster base sizes saying that outsized models should be based on "as small a base as possible" if over 100mm x 50mm.

I'm a bit disagreeable when it comes to questions about "scale" in "mass battle" games where many players count 1:1 scale buildings as blocking terrain when they have the same footprint as a regiment anyway. I'd say if the scale is a little out don't worry too much. 100 x 50mm footprint is larger than a regiment which SHOULD represent much more soldiers on the battlefield than the 20 (one fifth of a company) on the actual movement tray.

BTW @Montegue,

Your Steel Behemoth reminds me of this handsome chap at the Tower!

Thanks. I'm really happy with him. The wings are totally optional, as they come separate. I attached mine, and I can remove one but the other is stubborn. I'd like to switch them out magnetically for big guns or something fun like that. I've considered using him as a counts-as Dragon Kindred Lord ally.

I've been thinking about converting a steam tank and a Dwarf Flame Cannon... the ideas are still coalescing :( Need a suitably dwarf-y tank base.

Here's mine.

It is a Ramshackle Games Brass Coffin with an added turret from elsewhere in their range. IIRC the base is 65x120 or there abouts.

I have't finished basing mine properly but will add pics when it is done. However, I just wanted to share that my Steel Behemoth took over 150 attacks in 2 turns and only received 9 points of damage in yesterday's game :)   (it was rear ended twice and flanked but was in a wood which really helped)
