Wow, the unpainted model was already very good, but your paintjob really made it into a wonderful piece.

Please tell me you are going to use this masterpiece against Elves or Forces of Nature, it would be a very ironic death, beaten to death with a tree  :P

I've only had a couple of games so far, one against Goblins and one against Orcs...my dwarfs are going to have another outing on Monday, against goblins again. My local club is very Sci-fi orientated so there's plenty of 40k players, Dropship Commander and X-Wing players but the bunch of the guys that play fantasy are in the middle of a Mordheim campaign at the moment so there's only a couple KOW players available and they are both goblinoid players!

I'm quite lucky being London based as I have a few clubs nearby so I may venture elsewhere to try my luck against some other races.

I'm not just saying this but the big guy was a fairly easy paint job. Sprayed black then a light spray of grey and a downward white spray.

I then gave him two wiped off oil washes. One in dark grey green and one very thin black.

When this was done I gave him a couple of drybrushes which I did with a sponge for speed. The weathering is done with crushed pastel in various shades. Then just various flock. I love the Busch forest floor blend for the dead leaves look.

Awesome sculpt to begin with!

Paint-job and flock just kill!
