Hey Guys. I've put together a 3000 point list to deal with my friends Skaven Horde. This is my first time putting a list together at all, so please let me know what you think, where I could improve and where I may have gone wrong. Some choices I have made as a view to certain tactics I may employ so if something seems odd there may be method to it. Thanks.

Lord cant have a greatweapon, atleast you are paying 6 points for nothing, replace it with Rune of Stone

MR of Balance is not worth taking, take a second spelleater ( 45 ) you will love to have two tries to eat the Dreaded 13th...

BSB IS a almost mandatory, perhaps with MR of Groth one Eye

I would replace your warriors with a bigger unit of Longbeards, around 25 is good, perhaps with Stoicism.

Brimstone gun is realy realy bad, steam template is so much better against his large blocks.

MR of Immolation... would replace it with rune of Forging

Not sure how much points you have left but try to give your smiths a rune of stone to both of them... The lord is a bit "squishy" if you can find 45 points to give him three lvls of R of Warding he will perhaps survive a bit longer...

The skaven Storm Banner will probobly cripple your shooting phase for a turn...

Stick to the steamgun on the gyro.

 

If it was me, i'd get a grudgethrower with rune of accuracy. But that's more down to personal taste. I like them, especially against Skaven, since they tend to have large untis = Greater casualties, provided that you hit with the GT. Also, because of the larger numbers, there's a greater chance that you actually hit something. And against skaven, S3 is fine, but if you have the points, you can upgrade the GT to S4 with rune of penetrating
