When shooting the Gyro steam gun does the full template have to be in the normal 90 deg arc? I can't find anything to say either way. Am i missing anything here?

Thanks in advance.

The templatehas to be touching the steam gun so that limits you to fire it facing forward.

I think he means, that in theory, the template could be turn to either side out of the LoS arc and still be touching the gun.

But no, it doesnt say, but what it does say, is that you actually have to see your target. And you wouldnt be able to see them, if the template touched any model outside of the LoS. Therefore, making it illegal.

Don't lone models have 360 vision?

No. They can pivot as many times during their move. But they cant pivot in the shooting face, nor do they have 360.

But, they can shoot in any angle in their forward facing arc. If I'm not mistaken of course.

They can indeed, but that doesnt change that, placing the template in a way that it crosses the 45 degree line, is not allowed, as you would then hit models outside your forward arc. Meaning, you'd be shooting models you cannot see.

I'd agree with Zidane_blade here.

The common sense should be not to try hitting something that your model does not see.
