Hi folks, long time Dwarf player new to the forum as a member.

I'm thinking about adding Ungrim to my large Karak Kadrin force and while I do have the older model it is feeling a little dated to me now.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be a good source for an alternative or parts ideas for a conversion?

Avatars of war has some amazing slayer models which would fit for a Ungrim conversion: http://imageshack.us...2/7460/l86r.jpg

I had considered using their Lord with two hand weapons and replacing he smaller axe with a spare hand from their Berserker kit as well as adding a crest from the same.

I was also looking at some of the Scibor Dwarfs too with similar thinking.

I've always wanted to convert it from Bor Dragonbane from AoW, it even includes the dragon head, cape and baner. Problem is (if you get to specific) it is carrying two hand axes and not a single great one.

Could be a fun challenge to sculpt a helmet and some mail on him. I wonder if Felix will release an Ungrim alternative in the next few months like he did Grom?

Yeah I've got myself a Bör model, perhaps I'll try to make an Ungrim of him.

That Bor model as all the right pieces to be an Ungrim. Ungrim has a Dragon Cape and a Dragon Head. The Bor model has them both, check and check. Although, he doesn't look to kingly, maybe there's something you can do to add to that.

As I see it, the main challenge is the helmet/crown, even with only that I think it would look pretty awesome, no need for more armour.

Throw on a couple of those extra shoulderpads from the new kits, maybe sculpt something armourish in the bit that are left bare.

And if I am looking at the pictures right, that mohawk of his is a separate piece, so it makes adding a crown/helmet that much easier.

I am now so tempted to use Bor. If one of he bits sites gets the shoulder pads in soon I will get some and go that route I think.

I love the old Ungrim model, one of my all time favorites.

However. he doesn't rank up worth a "I swear too much".

Wow that is a cool dwarf. The naked arms really fixes the risk of too much armor.

That is beautiful, I recognise the LB axe and Belegars body and head, I'm curious what the other bits are?

Avatars of War had the Borg Ironfist model, but only came out in limited edition sets.
