I never liked that banner. It has pointy ears.

Nice stuff! They really look like they're working in the cold.

Those are wings attached to its helmet. ;)

Thanks by the way. :)

Totally missed this plog, how silly of me! May I ask how you achieved them wood tones as well as the rather unusual skin?

Wood:

- (old) chaos black undercoat (spray)

- (old) scorched brown basecoat

- (old) dark flesh first layer (ignoring the wood grain itself -> only having an eye for the different slats of wood)

- (old) bestial brown layer (ignoring the wood grain itself -> only having an eye for the different slats of wood)

- (old) dark flesh wash (so helps the blending of the last 2 browns as well as fills the grain with Dark flesh)

- (old) bestial brown highlight (now having an eye for the wood grain)

- (old) snakebite leather highlight (now having an eye for the wood grain and taking into account the sun doesn't shine everywhere)

- (new) agrax earthshade wash (only between the different slats of wood or where it meets metal)

Skin:

- (old) chaos black undercoat (spray)

- (old) dark flesh basecoat

- (old) tanned flesh first layer (blending)

- (old) dark flesh wash to smoothen the transition of dark flesh to tanned flesh (only where tanned and dark flesh are already meeting)

- (New) agrax earthshade shade, but only on places like between the fingers, and as crossover to other parts of the model like his hair, bracelets, etc.

- (old) tanned flesh second layer (blending)

- (old) Dwarf flesh (duh!  :P  ;) ) final layer

A lot of old colours. This is a conversion chart to new colours:

- Dark Flesh -> Doombull Brown

- Dwarf Flesh -> cadian fleshtone? (or maybe rather ratskin flesh)

- Scorched brown -> Rhinox Hide

- Bestial Brown -> Mournfang Brown

- Snakebite Leather -> Balor Brown

- Tanned flash -> no idea, ratskin flesh? (or maybe rather deathclaw brown)

Thanks! =) No worries. I have no idea about the new names either ;) Still sticking with my tanned flesh etc as well as the full armypainter set.

ratskin flesh is too orange, doesnt have that rose look the dwarf flesh had. I'm buying some vallejo colour, will let you know how it turns out.
