It's a well executed build, and the final product looks great. Well done!

Next thing will be my finished cannon. It's finished, but I still need to take pics and it are the worldchampionships cyclocross this weekend, so different priorities. :D

Saw this in your Tofg blog on the swc. But will say it again, it's a darn fine piece of dwarven engineering right there.

It conveys a sense of strength and solidity, although a little 'squat'(heh).

I wonder could it use a frame of lifting beams over the trapdoor, for accessing the artillery, and maybe a few stout ringbolts?

Not being critical, it's quite imposing as it is!

Good work.

I want my dwarves to have stone bases, and yours looks good, could you please give me the recipie? Is it gw colors? If not, what dwarf colors would be good, and how to use them?

Great idea; but I wanted to keep the tower as flat as possible so (small) units kan easily be placed on top it.

I didn't use GW colours (would be far too pricey ;) ), but if I have to give the recipe what GW colours would work:

- Basecoat of a 50/50 mix of Eshin Grey and Dawnstone

- Wash of Agrax earthshade

- Drybrush of a 50/50 mix of Eshin Grey and Dawnstone

- Drbrush of Dawnstone

- Drubrush of Administratum Grey

I finished a couple of models, and only now realise I should have also taken pics of their back (doh!), anyway:

More good stuff! The wooden parts look really cool.

The drybrushes upon eachother: Its heavier drybrush and then more and more light?

I like the flesh colour. How do you make it?

Splendid work!

I don't know what you mean by heavy drybrush, but some people mean by that a drybrush that is not that dry. This is a big no no. ;)

If you mean a drybrush everywhere and in all directions then yes. :D

So first drybrush is everywhere in all directions.

Second drybrush is everywhere but only strokes from top to bottom (and so not from bottom to top or left to right, etc.)

Last drybrush only strokes from top to bottom and only on certain parts where you think lighter highlights would look appropriate (for example with.bricks, the top edge as well as either the left or right edge would be appropriate).

I hope my explanation is clear as sometimes it is hard to explain things in English. :)

I use (mostly) old GW colours:

- dark flesh basecoat

- tanned flesh first layer

- controled dark flesh wash to smoothen the transition of dark flesh to tanned flesh

- New GW: agrax earthshade shade, but only on places like between the fingers, and as crossover to other parts of the model like his hair, bracelets, etc.

- second layer tanned flesh

- last layer: Dwarf flesh (duh! :P ;) )
