Hello and Welcome to the May Painting Challenge!

This month's theme: War Machine

Entries will consist of a dwarven War Machine and Associated Crew members. Conversions are welcome but absolutely NOT necessary....this is primarily a painting contest. Have fun with it...lets see some great figures!

1.) Start with an unpainted, and un-based model (a start on a base is fine, like sand). Please post a "before" pic with your model. PLEASE INCLUDE THIS PHOTO

2.) 1 entry per member

3.) A complete entry consists of four pictures: one must be a "before" photo (just bare metal or basecoat) and Three of the finished product.

4.)Pictures are to be taken on a white/pale blue background, or any non distracting background. This can be, say a terrain hill/forest/whatever, but no army display boards.

5.) The organizers of the competition have the right to refuse entry to any applicant if they feel it doesn't meet the criteria.

6.) The thread will be locked after the deadline, no more posts!

7.)This is a community event and like all hobbies is designed to be fun, so enjoy yourself, keep us posted, and good luck! Also when talking about another contestants entry...BE NICE...this is a friendly supportive event.

8.) Submitted figures must have completed bases as well as paint jobs.

Voting Mechanics:

Do not post anything besides your entry pictures in this thread, all other posts will be deleted. If there are incomplete entries at the time the thread is locked (ie someone reserves a spot with a before picture but never posts finished pictures) they will be deleted to streamline voting.

After the deadline, I will open a separate voting thread (so keep your eyes open!). Vote there....you will have four votes, a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. You will give to 1st place model 3 points, 2nd place 2 points, and so on. This helps to have the votes flowing around, and reduces the chances of a tie.

If you have a question, PM me, or another Mod right away. I WILL help, so don't be afraid to enter the contest!

If you manage to pull off a WIN, you may choose the next model to be painted.

Deadline is May 29th 11:59pm EST (May 30th 4:59am GMT).

The contest is OPEN!

Well, I'm going to try and do an old Citadel Gob lobber. With five crew (couldn't get the cook and meal).

Looking forward to the other entrants!

All done!

Right so this was my gift to a fellow forum member over at WE as part of the annual mini exchange. Would have had this up a week ago though I did not wish to spoil the surprise.

Here is a bolt thrower!   It's a good thing the rain finally stopped here in New England . . . or this might not have gotten done!
