I've been using battlescribe to make my army lists, and it flags up an error if I give my BSB runic items. I know he can't have runic items if he takes a runic banner, but can he have runic items if he just takes a normal battle standard?

There is a bug in one of the battlescribe xmls. BSBs can take a runic banner OR any number of other runic items. They can not take any additonal mundane equipment (I believe BS gets that right).

Brilliant, I thought I had that right.  I notice it also mucks about with rangers and says they have heavy armour and so on even if they're quarrelers- I guess it can't be perfect, handy though it is!

I (think) I have an updated dwarf xml which fixes the BSB and calculates rangers a little differently. PM me if you're interested and I can send it to you.

That'd be great, thanks! Only one prob- I'm a complete techno phobic who has no clue about computers, and l don't know what PM means! (grumble grumble new technology grumble was better in my dau grumble etc...)

the version i have wont allow me to add great weapons on units.

That's weird! Mine isn't that bad! I'll have a play around and see if l can find the URL and put it up here for you. I think the only prob with mine is the bsb.
