Battle vs son's Bretonnians (his first battle with them) 3K worth. Bit worrying as regiment after regiment of knights form up. My dwarf army isn't re-done yet so no hammerer's (not done yet) & going with a Daemon & Dragon slayer in characters to make up the points - sort of expecting them to be pin-cushioned .....
.... but thanks to Grimnir! Perhaps over-confident with movement but the Knights move pretty close to my battle line, the damsel moves & stands in front of the rangers & the pegasus knights land near the Daemon-S! With a bellow of joy the GW Warriors charge the KotR, DS piles in & the rangers (not ones for chivalry) dispatch the damsel.
He claims he's being punished by the Lady for not praying ...... I claim all that sprint training the clans have been doing paid off. Joy! although I can't claim to much in the 'tactical genius' department
Now if only he'd be as obliging with his WoC!

Yup .... you could say all his Grugni-nesses came at once (sorry that's terrible!)
Must say son returned to the field of battle with his Empire army and won twice in a row. The shame - let a grudge be recorded! I shot, hit and bashed his Demigryphs' with everything I had and it all just bounced off - barely a dent in their armour.
But re-reading the rules for MC I think I may have got it wrong! With MCs you use the highest W characteristic but the knights T value for the 'to wound' roll - we were using the DGs (not sure why it has a T rating). Or am I missing something??

It is actually situationally relevant. If the model were forced to take a toughness test, then it may test on the best characteristic of any of its parts. But you do roll to wound against the rider's toughness.
