Hi all,
I've been following the Runecast blog with interest for a long time now, his dwarf sculps are superb.
For some reason my PC will not allow me to email this guy.
Does anyone have any info on when his amazing sculpts will be available to buy?

Balls.

I want him! A great SB for my Marauder Ironbreakers. Gah! If he carries on (essentially recreating many of the old Marauder range in a near perfect facial copy), I may have to fund his career solo...

Don't we have the White Knight for that short of business?

I have some of WK's minis (working on them as we speak). The lil dude I posted above is even more inkeeping with the originals imo. Had I not known these were new, I'd have easily mistaken them for Morrisson originals. I need a SB and Muso for my IB unit. Runecast has supplied a seamless option. Colour me impressed.Don't we have the White Knight for that short of business?
WK has developed a range for himself from the same period as the MM15's, but they have their own style and are easily identified as WK's. I'm sure this is no accident. I'm a fan of his minis too

The standardbearer does indeed look like an original Marauder (one of the pikemen actually), he copied the face and pose perfectly (athough mirrored). I would say that the other Runecast dwarfs (made after the standardbearer) do diverge somewhat from the Marauder originals as well though. Proportions are slightly different, and so are the hands. Of course, there's only so close you can stick to someone else's style and still make original looking figures.
Like mine though, all should fit well together and I'm looking forward to see what he will do next (we did discuss this at some point and I know he has some plans for things I don't intend to do, so that's great).
(Though I would dare say, Alebelly, there are a couple in my Zweihänder set that could pass for original Marauders if you didn't know any better.

Indeed. To date (as of today), I've only seen 4 of his Dwarf sculpts. The one above is indeed like the Pikemen. The only issue I have with it is the Space Marine style shoulder pads
The captain with the eyepatch has a helm straight out of the IB uniform, it's a very close representation. The legs are a bit more prominent than the Morrisson Dwarfs, aka they have legs

For me, I've been looking for a command unit for my IBs for a long time. I don't trust my greenstuff "skills" enough to hack up some spares for a SB/muso, so these (if they get produced) will plug a gap. Even though I'm verfy much a fan of your Elite SB, I'm looking for a proper plated helm for the IB unit so he looks like a champ amongst the lads rather than a non or semi-combatant.
Personally, if he made Hammerer models that were as interchangable, I'd be a very happy bunny as this is the last unit that I actually need to play rather than just get collector syndrome
This chap is just pimp though, great character you don't often see lavished on a muso:

Yes, I do want that drummer very much. Mine is very utilitarian in comparison. I guess that between the original Marauder musicians, his two and mine, we could build ourselves a nice little marching band.
Regarding the Iron Breaker helmet, I'll be doing that style on my full plate dwarf knights (mounted and foot), in fact I just received the helmet blanks from John an hour ago. After moulding, John will convert these with a variety of beards and crests/feathers.

That would actually be pretty awesome. A Front rank of drummers and a standard + champ leading the troops to war!I guess that between the original Marauder musicians, his two and mine, we could build ourselves a nice little marching band.

Well, they're not much to look at right now, as they're only half heads at this stage. I will see if I can take some pics that sort of make sense.

I just feel incredibly lucky that we have these talented people sharing their work and enabling us to have them as part of our ever growing collections.
Long may it continue and as I said to Vidpui it's 'an exciting prospect'.
