I've been working away, and I'm liking the progress I've made so far. I'll post the last level of the dwarf fort when it's done in a few weeks or months.

My beautiful little daughter was born this week, and we brought her home today. I have a few higher priorities than nerding out now, but I don't plan on stopping work on the fort for ever.

I'm new to the forum, so i saw your five years work, developed in front of my eyes in half an hour.

It's stunningly beautiful and amazing... it's really obvious the love you have for dwarfs and their lore, and you can be really proud of what you have done.

Regarding the more important part... I've got two daughters, and i assure you that your life will change forever, but the satisfactions and the love that will fill it, will be beyond compare.

let's raise our beers to the newborn yougling!

Hmmmm... I have three complaints...

1.  I do not live near-by in order to game with you guys.

2.  This whole set up is not setting in MY GAME ROOM.

3.  A minor complaint about the well...  It needs a pulley instead of the rope wrapped around the overhead wooden beam...  I used a paper clip and an actual wheel hubs (2) from a hot-wheels car (minus the tire portion) to make a pulley.

Thanks guys, its nice to hear encouragement from hobby folks!

Skull, I respect those complaints. I was actually a little troubled that my well didn't make sense, but I really like your idea of using a wheel to make a decent pully.

This is an impressive work! True dwarf perseverance, spending years on it, taking care of details!

I also love how it grows, how new ideas get incorporated and more details find their place!

You have a lot to be proud of, and I take a deep bow before your efforts!

It isn't the dwarf fort, but I do have a small update! I finally finished painting these great Forge World dwarfs I got for Christmas. My wife and I have taken to painting at the table while the hang out with the baby, and these are the first fruits of that practice.

These minis are really detailed and where a lot of work to get through, but I had fun with them. There's a free hand painting of the fort on the banner, of course. My Pigma Micron pen was immense help with that, as always.

Yesterday and today I finished six more minis! These are some villiagers I'm excited to add to the dwarf fort, and they painted up real easy.

New minis look great :)
But I`m afraid something happened to photos in the previous posts. None load in the last 4 pages of this topic.

Photobucket is no longer a free image sharing service.

Now, you need to pay them between $60-$400 per year.

...guess what site was I using to share pictures? :angry2:
