Why so character heavy? And why those characters?

No Organ Guns? No runic banner on elite troops? MRoGrungi seems very appropriate for DE and Empire.

A Dwarf Lord should always be on shieldbearers. Which lets you drop Stone or the shield, because you max out the armour save.
You have not maxed out his runic allotment, which is usually a mistake.
One rune on his weapon, especially Fury, is a poor choice. A mundane great weapon is better unless you put 3 runes on the weapon. If you really want magical attacks, take a great weapon with MRoKragg.

Since Speed removes the 6+ parry save, it seems purely bad to me, even with the threat of ethereals. Why not give him more anti-magic runes, and drop the extra runesmith entirely?

Why field him? Even if this build was legal (it is well over the runic point limit), why is it useful?

That is a lot of points just to get flaming attacks, when the enemy often swings before he does or can kill him with shooting. Naked dragon slayer makes more sense to me.

I second David L.'s comments. With the points you save from character changes, you might want to think about adding small unit of miners to act as warmachine hunters.

Thanks for the replies, well spotted on the points limit on the Thane, whoops. Have a beer on me. The reason on the amount of characters was trying to stop vampires,  etherals and to stop magic. I have re worked the list so it looks like this.

Leaves me with a few point left for maybe a runic weapon on the lord or more anti magic or... What would you suggest ?
