O.K.
My daughter is home this weekend and has helped her Papa to take pictures and load up on the Gallery.
So for those who are interested, I have put up a small sample of the most recent dwarven miniatures I have painted up. They are mostly the Thunderers and Engineers along with a few others, a cannon crew, some of the ladies, and a future dawi (I think it is an old warhammer squat?). They are my humble attempts and I hope you all enjoy. You can find them in the Gallery under "Oridur's Throng." As time goes I'll add more.

Ok so this is going to be my first post on here.
I've been playing warhammer off and on since 96. 96-03 then a breif stay in 40k from 07-08. been getting back into the game over the last couple months, recollecting the dwarf army i sold 12years ago. My main Army is and will always be Chaos Dwarfs, but i started with the dwarfs because they had just droped the CD's right when i got into the hobby to play them. I'm 29, I live in Athens GA, been with a wonderful girlfriend (and understanding) for the last 4 years. I'm a manager in a local resturant in town.
My armies are as follows
5th edition book 15k Chaos dwarfs, but using the RH rules its only 10k (got 2k more on the way =)
Dwarfs 5k
Night Goblins 3k
HE 2k
random 1k in DE and WoC
Warhammer 40k Tau 5k

If I had started collecting a year later I'd be running a CD big hat army. I love the variety of the marauder dwarf line, but I think the big hats had the most character of any WHFB army [runs and hides from anticipated backlash].

Well met everyone,
Been around for some time, but havent found this topic (or gotten down to it) for some reason. So time to share some information;
- My real name is Eetu. Location; Turku, Finland.
- I´m currently a 3rd year student at the University of Turku, i´m goin to be an elementary school teacher.
- Long time hobbyer, been doing fantasy for roughly 13 years of my 23 yeaars on this earth.
- Only ever finished one army completely. Shame on me.
- Been loving the 80´s figures for a while, hence the Woodpecker Clan, the project that failed for lack of money.
- Doing a new dwarf army from the new plastics which can be found quite cheap. Doing my best to turn them into great figures by painting.
- When im not doing studies or figures, im playing guitar in a cover band, gigging in student parties (more fun than you would imagine!)
The sit says im not allowed to directly link my picture here (for what reason, i can only guess
), but for those interested, you can check it out here;

Hello All!
My name is Luke and Im 35 yrs old and have been playing 40k for the last, well since it Started back in RPG fantasy and rogue Trader days...
I used to have a gaming group back 20 years ago and we played WH RPG for a few years and then got into 40k.... Recently Ive gotten back into 40k with the same group as before....
Anyways 12 years ago we all bought fantasy armies and then never played... So after rummaging around and blowing the dust off I have the following boxes..
2 boxes of 16 Warriors
1 Dwarf Lord
1 Stone thrower (I guess its now a Grudge thrower)
Anyways I am hoping to build a 1500 pt army with a lot of shooting and a nice stay put heavy infantry wall.....
I will gladly accept all suggestions for what to buy next.... I havent even got the dwarf book yet as this was only decided yesterday that we are play WHFB lol....
I would like to know whats the best way to model these Warriors though.... Im not even sure what they come with yet as I havent cracked the box but so far Ive read the Great Weapons are a must?
Cheers,
Hope to hear from some of you soon...

Hello, I'm new here, and new to 8th Edition. I started collecting about 17 years ago, starting off with Bloodbowl and Warhammer (Goblins way back when). I used to play against a few friends and slowly gravitated to Dwarfs. Things tailed off with a brief resurgence when Mordheim was released before tailing off again.
While clearing the loft at my mothers a few years ago I found some of my old Dwarf models and some paints that were still good! So I showed them to my fiancée and we got painting. I've got a small force of Dwarfs now, in various stages of completion. Roughly 1000pts worth, and hopefully going to grow as funds allow.
That's about it model wise, I'm hoping to get back in to gaming, once I've found the damned army book from where ever it's hidden, and I have a rule book winging its way to me in the post so I can get myself up to speed on the rules.

Hi Guys!
Well the real Thodin Longbeard is this fella below... but the snotlings in my pc wont let me post the picture, drat!
I am 26 years old from Durban in South Africa. I have been playing dwarfs since 1997 or 1998. My gran sent me a load of books she found in a jumble sale, amongst them was The Hobbit, which started off my love for the dwarfs.
I currently live in Helsinki, Finland, with my beautiful Finnish girlfriend of 5 years. I am studying my masters in geography, so essentially upgrading my useless piece of paper for a slightly less useless one
In reality, I am beginning to specialise in historical geography and Warhammer has spurred me to do a study of Nordic castle towns for my thesis
I also dabble (5000 points +) in Skaven and have recently started Eldar (1000 points)
Cheers!

Hi All!
I'm new to the Brewery and relatively new to collecting dwarves, having recently abandoned Chaos Warriors in favour of an army that better suits my style of play and that I can identify with.
Although I've only been playing Warhammer for about five years, I've been gaming and collecting miniatures for more than thirty.
When not gaming or painting miniatures I spend my days, in true dwarfish fashion, breaking rocks with a big hammer. I am a palaeontologist by profession, with a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Saskatchewan. I've also turned part of my basement into a brew room where I putter about perfecting my ale and sampling way too much of the product. So, clearly, I've got a lot of dwarf in my soul.
Here I am playing host to a swarm of mosquitoes while doing field work on the Hudson Bay coastline during the summer of 2011.
