it is really good. the best product (of that type) there is. still, it is not the book, and some databases have errors from time to time, so check everything ...

What's frustrating is that when I bought it in a brick and mortar store, I thought the license fee was just to have in program downloads of the datafiles so I let my license lapse 3 years ago. However when the new version of the software came out, I found out that I needed to have a valid license to be able to upgrade. That frustrates me because at the time, the upgrade for the license extended from the original expiration date, not a new timer from when you paid for the upgrade so I was going to have to pay MORE than I originally did for the software to upgrade the software. It's a little frustrating. I'm going to eventually have to pay for the new license to get the more recent datafiles...

I have both the older and newer version. I use the newer version for 40K and the older version for WHF. The older version is supported by Anarchistica's group on yahoo. They keep updated the WHF files and they are current.

As with all army builder software they are only as good as the data that is inputed. The giggo factor; i.e. garbage in garbage out.

I use the old versie for fantasy, i have a crack so can make bigger army, and it quite up to date till 7th edit.

This is the "lone wolf" one, right? The standard armybuilder? I tried to install the demo version, but when i attempt to load any of the files, a window pops up and says: "The data files could not be loaded due to the following errors: Out of system resources."

What does that mean? What am i doing wrong? Help me please!

I ended up buying it hehe.... And I have to say its really good
But: When I make a Dwarf army it has all the runes and rules from the 7th ed. but when I try to make an Orc army,it seems that all the "shiny stuff" in the orc list is missing...?
It has like one or two of the greens,and all the "normal" magical items thats in all the Army Books...

Am I just missing an update or is this normal for the generator?

Nah, i cant even open the programs, THE GAMES THEMSELVES! Like, when you open armybuilder you have to select what game you want to build an armylist for, right? 40K, Fantasy and others, whichever ones you add to your list by downloading the rules. but when i attempt to open them, the error message pops up!

Anyway:

Whats the deal with this? When i have a unit of handgunners,I add lightarmour (6+save) but when I add a shild to this it becomes 5+/4+ ?

Wich versie are you using 3.2 or the old 2.2c versie ? i think the new
one ( NEW SKAVEN update i do not have)

5+/4+ in my armybuilder 2.2c there it only show ; 5+
maybe in the newer versie the mean 5+ normal save 4+ when into combat (handweapon shield 1+ save)

It means the AS to shooting and in HtH combat, you know, the hw+shield bonus?

i use Vista, and i think its the newer version, from their website.

That would make sense of course..( although I didnt think of that hehe ) however,they are armed with great weapons...... I play a lot vs HE and those arrows never stop falling.... Go shild

Ive sent in the question on the forum page they have,so maby someone there can do something about it..

Btw: orc warboss with light armour and shild,mounted on a wyvern has a save on 5+ i the armybuilder as well.... Guess theres a lot of kinks they have to fix....
Keeping in mind Ive had this program only 24 hours,this doesnt impress me too much......

As a note, Wolflair has recently been sending C+D letters to companies that have their own army construction software with respect to using the term "army builder" as a reference to their software.

Alays use your book next to a list from armybuilder, it easy but it has it errors.
i always print the list and them with a pen edit the page compared to the rulebook.
