QUOTE (Gror III @ Feb 4 2009, 05:14 PM)

fletcherh the price of the 30th anniversary one must come down at some point. So many people bought them to resell on for more money that almost every collector will have one by now. Slowly slowly catchy Dwarfy Posted Image

My FLGS has 3 of the 30th anniversary minis sitting on the Shelf, new in the box, for NZ$32 each. And yes, I haz one.

EDIT: whoops, didn't even notice the threadromancy. My bad.

Thread necromancy!

I just have to comment on that beaaaautiful sprue! Made in 2006? It's already a bit dated, but looks amazing to me.
The metal mini's made to replace this kit are also great, i've got that BSB, but that plastic set... just.. wow.
I've always believed that a plastic commanders kit ( like the high elf and empire ones ) for dwarfs could be one of the most incredible and versatile kits ever. The dwarfs are such great craftsmen that the sculptors could go wild in sculpting bitz, like armourplates, and decoration for the helmet. This kit has 2 wings and 2 horns.

Did anyone get this particular sprue from the E-bay auction, btw?

Yea, the bump on this was good, I got to discover this.

So, has one of these ever been assembled and painted and seen in the wild?

personally, I think it's rubbish. just like all the current dwarf plastics. and it has 4 bodies and 1 head?!?
I'm glad this one vanished off the release schedule.

I guess it doesnt matter much- it was never released anyway. I would like a shieldbearer/Lord/BSB plastic set like the others released. (Empire, Elves, etc.)

It has 2 shieldbearers and 2 bodies with which to build 2 dwarf characters. I can clearly see two head/beard components next to the bodies. Actually, I've seen one of those beards ( not with the long strands, the other one with short strands ) somewhere. On one of GW's pictures somewhere, I am sure, I just don't know where.

I am pretty sure this kit was supposed to be one of the first of those 'multi-part characters kit', and to be released even before the Empire and Elven sets. But as far as I know some elgi dropped it, it broke/cracked/shattered and couldn't be produced anymore. Posted Image The metal BSB and thane on oathstone are replacements for this.
