Hi!
Im new to this forum but have been playing dwarfs for a long time. I have been thinking about building a Karak Zorn army for some time but havent come up with a good theme. Yesterday i realised that some of the dwarfs in my collection already looks like old Ottomans so why not try an janissary/middle eastern theme. I tried some simple conversions on some left over plastic models. I would love to build a grand bombard and a sultan with big hat being carried into battle. Let me know what you think! Is it a theme worth spending time on?

Definitely a good theme! But it's gonna be difficult to find appropriate models.
Maybe Lastro Lupintal from the Dwarf Lords of Legend?

Good luck wink.gif

Cool minis! I like the 1001 nights theme. happy.gif Btw, I have Lastro Lupintal, it's well painted, and I am trying to get rid of him.

It's a great idea! Great use of some really great old minis. I'd love to see a whole army like that.

Join the growing club of people using (or in some of our cases, addicted to) 3rd Edition metal minis!

cheers,

Jeff

I really like the idea about the flying carpet Gyro. Thanks!
Does anyone know where to get scmitar-like weapons in appropiate size? The only ones i could find in my bitbox were from ogres and are to big even for great weapons.

Musician's awesome, I actually held the plume bit in my hands yesterday and I think it's ideal for the figure.
The Daemon Slayer teaser on the right side of the pic is very promising, any chance we get to see the rest of your collection?

Ok, the first rank is done and i am out of old plastic minis. Going on to building a Thane out of King Alrik. I have realized that I have a very bad camera (and obviously im a bad photographer, tips on how to take good pictures of minis wanted). As soon as i have mastered the camera to some degree i will post some pictures of the rest of my collection.
