Blood Red and White. (i know it is the most overused color)

I also use different colors taken from this board to give the idea of lost clansmens forming a unit. It gives [warhammertag83]ME[/warhammertag83] a lot of painting variety.

Fluff: they are trying to get back to their clan or just on their way to the Slayer Shrine. grin.png

originally I used red and gold, but after one painting incident I realized that my scheme looked more like a hot dog stand attendant than a vengeful dwarf i changed to mainly red with a little purple. I'm currently attempting to do my hammerers with nmm red armour, however it's the first time i've attempted the technique and i'm starting to think that i should've given it some practice first. hopefully i'll come away with a really good looking unit though. I've only nearly completed 4 models so far so i think i can save it.

I have all over gold Ironbreakers(only 2 painted so far though...) and characters, with Blue highlighting (or at least i will when i get round to painting the shields)

My warrirors are mainly silver (chailmail) with gold highlighting on all raised areas of their helmets, they have blue sleeves (regal blue with ultramarine highlights) and red highlighting (blood read, no highlights as of yet, but will be fiery orange) round their mail.

All orange. I never thouhgt it will be that rare.

Well Orange trims, cloths, banners, runes all around ( maybe not runes)

I use "I swear too much" brown and snakebite leather alot maybe more than orange, but that much equipment and all of them is made of leather. So I ussualy use snakebite "I swear too much" dark flesh Kommando khaki and a few inks to get veraity on leather quipment.

I use boltgun metal+chain mithril highlight on weapons mostly, and mis of boltgun, dwaven bronze, brazen brass, shining gold and a little ink for armours ( I think ink ruins a well done highlight job and good highlight is always better, I got almost no ink on my character and warmachine+ warmachine crew)

i think green is the most used color, not only for dwarfs but for a lot of armies.
All my friends have green in their color scheme(except orcs but theyre green anyway.)

My dwarves are purple (dark purple) and red with a little bit of blue (the colours of carrion). Most of my metallics are chainmail/brass and a bit of gold on some of the chaps. I darkened down everything with a wash of black (on my Ironbreakers so far). They look great so far. Their beards are Red and Purple and their cloth is a mixture of each. Red and Purple beards are rather interesting... Perhaps I will dye my longbeards or slayer's beards with a nice dark blue so they will stand out. I didn't think any of you other chaps would have considered purple but I guess ye did... A pink dwarf army I have yet to see tongue.gif

Although my dwarves do look a little chaosy I like the darkened look.

wouldnt it be better to leave a post that has been dead for 5 months DEAD?

its pretty clear that a combination with red is pretty much the "most used colour".

My army colors are chaos black and blood red. That might be too chaos as one pointed out, but then, I started this army with the idea of a revenge on some chaos tribes. And what is a better camouflage than the colors of your enemy?

New reason for blue btw: the army color of the dwarfs from Warcraft III tongue.gif
