What do you think is the most used color in a dwarven army?

Well if you are talking about painting a dwarf army it would be silvers and browns I'd guess.

If you are talking about which is the most used colour people choose in their colour scheme, I'd guess it would be blue or red.

Yeah, blue is the most common from what I've gathered around here. Don't ask [acronym="master engineer"]ME[/acronym] why, though. Maybe it makes a good contrast with the beards and armour, whilst still not being too bright?

Well, think about it. There are about six colors you can use; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. You'll want them to be fairly dark, as you don't want them to distract from the skin and metal, so that rules out orange and yellow, as they will be either too bright or too ugly. People don't want red, as they'll look like Chaos Dwarfs. People don't want green as it is organic-looking, which is un-Dwarfy. They don't want purple because it's... kind of fruity.

Therefore, by process of elimination, blue is the most popular color. :o

You are not worng. But there comes a time in every [acronym="Great Weapon or Games Workshop"]GW[/acronym] palyers life when [acronym="High Elves"]HE[/acronym]/her/it locks at all their colected miniatures and realices that they are all painted blue. When I did that I got bored and repainted some armies, And that how my dwarfs got Green (well, they got purple first but thats another story).

Tell [acronym="master engineer"]ME[/acronym] about it, mt dwarves are painted blue, my tau are painted blue and my LOTR dwarves are painted blue. I guess I just really like the colour.

The colour of Karak Grom (my hold) is Red Gore darkened with some black ink, this makes it look more like its from the Dark age which suits the Dark dwarven feel.

I don't think I've ever painted anything blue... Well, apart from a Slaaneshi Manticore. It seemed like a good idea at the time...

I reckon it's red. Blue's more Elven to my mind.

I agree with Khee blue is very elvish at least thats what i painted my High Elves with. My dwarfs on the other hand i painted/am painting green. But i say from the posts already written that blue looks like the most used color. Just my two cents :)

red for the blood shed during the war of vengenance
gold for the inexhaustible wealth of our mine

I use dark blue for the handles of axes, hammers and picks
