Hoi,

Both dates are OK for me.

I have a +10K dwarf army,+2500 Slayer list. +6K bretonia, +6K orcs and grobi.

I am not beer drinker, ( they don't make xxx xxx no more ) so only whiskey for me.

I like the swap idea, but how ? lets make some rules aboot this , I think most people needs
time to paint the modell and in the summer months painting for me come's not in first place.

Well guys I talked to the shopowner today and it was no problem.

So I booked the 31st of augustus.
As for now the meeting will start at 11:00 and we will leave the shop at 16:00.
The price to hire the shop is €25. We will split it between those who will come.

If someelse got another option let us know. If not then Arnhem will it be.

ok

suggestion for the tournament:

1500 points dwarfs
1500 points Slayerarmy of SOC, included goblinhewer and long drong

or 1000 point dwarf and 500 points allies continent according to rules
chronicles 2004, page 26

You may use as allies Empire included Kislev, High Elves, Brets, Dogs of War, Ogres

Scenario
Fight for the goldmine

3 Pitched battle, two clans fight a bitter fight over the goldmine in the middle of the
battlefield. (the only reason darfs fight eachother to the dead)

six turns, For each unit, more then 0.5 origional strength
on 6" range of the goldmine 100 VP, and BRB counting of VP

draw 10-10
minor vic. 13-7
solid vic 15-5
masacre 20-0

additions welcome

I like the tournament Idea, I think that we will run in to some time trouble if you want to play 3 battles in 5 hours?

Before everybody got his stuff on the table and we are actually playing........it is time to go.
I think this day we must see to get to know eachother better and just play for fun on the sideline and not play 3 game in a rush!

Maybe another idea: everybody brings a 750 pts army. We team up in pairs and play the above game suggestion but then with 4 people. Then we have a relax game and we get to know eachother better? After the battle we see how much time is left and play another game with different teams.

What do you think?

In our club we manage to play 2 1250 points battle in about 5 hours. We do not rush things then and we have some very young kids who do not know all the rules and tactical options so we try to help them with that during gameplay as well.
Since we are all experienced players we should be able to do 2 1250 points battle during the day.

So I propose to do the following.
Play 2 1250 points battle over the goldmine.

QUOTE
Scenario

massacre 20-0

1250 points Slayerarmy of SOC, included goblinhewer and long drong

I can make a random match-up once I know who is coming.

The player(s) with the highest score is allowed to pick a model from the swapping minis that will be brought. The rest of the minis will be randomized between the other players.

Good idee's. i am not a experimnet tounooi fighter, i mostly play with my friends at
home and then the bigger game's 4000 and up. And i hope to learn smaller combat fighting
like you suggested , with the 2* 1250 setup there is more time to talk tattcics etc.

I love the small tournament idea, and the fighting in pairs. It gives us a chance to talk and get to know each other better.
(I'm very, very tempted to bring a dwarf horde in 1250 points!)

I'll be there for sure, I'll just need to check if I can get back by train the same evening.

That is why we stop at 16:00 so people can still go home or if they are inb luck stay longer in town and have some dinner.

Very nice discussing over only a couple of days here, I like the developement.

By then, I'll just have turned 16, so I will be able to DRínk beer, but I won't bring any wink.gif
I'll just come with my regular Dwarfs, perhaps some allies. I'm also considering Tomb Kings as a secondary army, if I have 'em by then, I'll bring those as well.

Question: Where do we discuss this further? Signup topic or thisone?
Question I actually wanted to ask before thinking of previous one: How about proxies? And need all models to be painted, or is there given bonus points if you have them pained?

Answer: we discus the meeting in this topic and use the other topic just to sign in for the meeting

Answer: With in reasonable bounderies proxies are fine with me. But I prefer unpainted models over proxies.
There wont be any bonuspoints involved for painting.

Proxy's are fine if, as Bor stated, they are reasonalby, so no empty movement trails or giants that are an empty soda bottle!

As for the painting, I'm very glad it isn't counted! I paint extremely bad (something that always hurts me on tournaments....) even after six years of pratice.

I personally don't like proxies, but that is because i have fought against paper movetrays
and then 70 % of the army was proxie, but if you do not have models that look like the suposed unit
( example ,empire horses to form a Bret calary no problems.) this time for me no problems, it just a friendly
meeting and we are all dwarfsbrothers here.

I still can't paint well, so best looking army i never win.

Are we going to have certain limitations to - for example - shooting? Since I think it wouldn't be nice if anybody would show up with a gunline, especially for the slayer armies around ...

I thougth it was already clear that the main reason for this gathering was that we can get to know eachother better and not who is going to win the games? huh.gif

Everybody should come with what he thinks is accaptabel.
I know I will put more time in the mini that I m painting for one of you then in making a killer armylist. happy.gif

By the way, maybe I am bringing another Dwarfplayer, he would check his agenda. I'll let you guys know if he comes along because he is not on this forum.

Cheers,
Belegar

bringing a friend is not a problem for as long as they are a dwarfplayer.

Yes the whole idea is that we meet and greet not meet and conquer/kill.

So I hope no one brings a pure gunline unless his models do not allow something else but with 1250 points .....
