All, it was requested that I somewhat clean up the sticky posts in the Forge, so in line with the consolidated Dwarf Guides link in the Tavern, this thread is for those tutorial-style threads written by folks here at the Brewery that others have found valuable. If you have any you'd like to see added, please reply to this post.

Dunno if this should go here, but it seemed as good a place as any.

http://us.games-workshop.com/games/warhamm...olour_chart.htm

this is a colour pallet of all the GW colours. It should be helpful for us painters who don't use GW paints, for when we try to describe which colours to use on each layor.

English isn't my first language (that's Norwegian) and I fell out where you wrote "ut", but now that I know that it is supposed to be "but", I understand what you meant... Sorry...

Gary, ye should add Grimstonefire's Sculpting Tools article t' the list. I been working on a similar list fer sculpting advice over at the Cutthroat's Den? and included several general pieces, but methinks we should pay more attention t' the talented lads right amongst our midst:

Grimstonefire's Sculpting Tools

Here's the Sculpting Advice I gathered for the Cutthroat's Den:

I finally found some advice by Scibor on sculpting hands and feet at his website.
http://www.sciborminiatures.com/en_,sculpting.php

Best of all, I found a tutorial on MSN groups concerning sculpting fer Beginners.

MSN Sculpting Group Tutorial for Beginners!

Including a tutorial om faces, which I didn't find that helpful, 'cos there be no WIP pics of it and I be more of a visual fellow. Still it contains some very useful information.

How to do faces

Some more sculpting tutorials, this time in pdf format:

Tutorial by Satyr Studios

Ramon Laan's Tutorial (Spyglass Miniatures)

The later includes some WIP pictures, but 'twas not the one I used as a basis. Still I finds it very useful to see someone actually working with the stuff. Mayhap I 'll write me step by step guide - a beginner's journey...

I'll see what I can do. Since the upgrade the old links seem to have broken again (this is the second time this has happened).

Cheers, Gary

Okay, all the links should work now. I also updated the list to include all the links folks have suggested so far. Any more ideas please LMK...

Cheers, Gary

For those of us without sculpting tallent, here is a great, simple mold making process. I'll be using this for my banners in the future.

Although this tutorial is in german, it handles the basics of sculpting a face in 54 MM scale so that it's easy to see everything that's happening. Just follow the pictures for those who don't speak german.
