Well, in true Stoki fashion I've had this unit done for quite a while, but have been too lazy to post the finished pics online! So here they are. My buddy left his really nice SLR over at my place, so naturally I borrowed it to take some high quality shots of the lads:
This was taken with fairly low light, on my kitchen table (obviously). The next one is a bit brigther, but the background is a bit more cluttered:

I'm very happy with the way this unit turned out. It's really the back bone of my army. You're GW troops are the go to guys, expected to do a lot of the heavy lifting. The only thing I really didn't like are the axe handles. They're just plain Calthan brown, which isn't bad, but they don't look particularly realistic to me. I suck at painting wood
The basing was really easy to do and I think looks pretty good for a dwarf force. I bought some coarse modeling sand, glued it to the base, then painted over with Fortress Grey. I dry brush coat of Goblin Green and, voila! You have gravel!
The command group:

I actually learned a lot painting this unit. For one, I learned assembly line painting 40 models at a time is not my thing. It's just too daunting to have 40 dudes sitting in front of you, and trying to get the axes perfect on each one. Instead, I'm going to start working in batches of 5 (ie one rank) until I finish and then move on to the next 5. I've gotten almost 10 hammerrers done using this technique already!
I've also changed my color scheme a bit since this unit finished up. I did the greens on these guys with Orchide Shade -> Dark Angels Green -> Snot Green. The problem is Orchide is too close to Dark Angel! So, for the remainder of the throng it's going to be Chardon Granite as the base coat. I also found Scorched Brown is a good base coat for the browns, even though it's not a foundation color.
Current projects include finishing up my hammerers and anvil of doom. And then, who knows?
One last pic of the wicked BSB, Grim Stoki himself:
