I've got a couple of nice pictures of the entire unit after I painted on the beards. All of them have the first layer of color on, and most of them have highlights applied.

Looking pretty scary if you ask me. Excpet for the dude with the bright yellow beard 2nd from left. He's probably getting booted from the unit, and will probably graduate to a hammerer once I have time to convert him.
Most of the troops also have the 1st layer of color on their uniforms. I like using a simple brown green scheme for my uniforms. I paint the sleves / vests one color, and then the uniform trim and capes get the other color. It gives the unit a nice pattern. Because my entire army uses this scheme, it looks very uniform on the table.
Here's a closeup picture of the unit champion, Erik Stoki:

He's looking pretty mean, especially with that big freakin' axe. The uniform trim isn't down yet, but I'm happy with the sleeves and armor.
The entire command group, having a strategy session:

I like the blonde beard on the musician. I think it's a good dark / dirty blonde look. You'll see a lot of blonde beards in my army, they give a good contrast to the dominant green and brown scheme.

The reds look good! Might need a tad more shading but that might be the lighting. I'm also guessing you have a stage or 3 left on the beards.
Gryphone Sephia is a good ink for beards...it's not as dark as Devlan Mud so works for lighter shading, reds, yellows, browns, etc.
