I realised a while ago that batch painting is not for me, but of course a single miniature at a time makes for a lot of waiting for washes to dry. My compromise is to paint two miniatures at a time, it helps me keep concentration and feel the gratification of completion without becoming too inefficient with time.
Here are two dwarf hammerers (of my 30 odd) painted purple and gold for the royal bodyguard:
