






Hearthguard Shield Casts

Hi, so I sculpted about a dozen shields and picked my favourites (with some advice, thanks Snugg) and cast more. I have used both greestuff and greystuff but will probably have a go with miliput superfine as well, see which gives the best results. Pictures below. The mould material used is Oyumaru, like instant mould but you can get 6 sticks for £5 off of ebay.

Picture below is the shields in a tin to shape the mould with one stick of the above.

The mould and the first casts. Need a bit of trimming but they should be fine. Will make plenty then choose the best for shields carried on the left arm and the others can go on the backs of the hearthguard who are weilding their hammers two handed.
