Hi alric, here are my tips:

Try to work as clean as possibke from the beginning on, that will help you in the later stages of the mini. That means keeping the paint on the areas they are supposed to be, for example you got color from the beard onto the glove etc.

Try to remove all mold lines, that helps with the overall look of the mini.

If you use a bright color like under the Mailarmour part than work in thin layers, 3 to 4 thin clean layers of paint are better than a thicker one which doesnt cover the whole area.

Use a little less flesh wash or thin it down, after you have used the wash you can go back with the skin color you used leaving the wash only in the deeper recesses.

I hope I am sounding not to harsh in my feedback, but since you asked I am trying to help.

There are many nice Tutorials and armies in the forge, try to look them up, they helped me a great deal.

No problem, its really not my aim to bring you down, but in my oppinion constructive critism is the best way to get better whn it comes to painting, I learned so much on this place and still its a long way to go, but with every miniature I am seeing progress, thats really motivating.
