The Banishing From Karak Izor.

Gorrun Fluff Mount Silverspear
This a report on why the Dwarfs that are reclaiming Mount Silverspear are doing so.
This is why they are banished.

A report came to the King of Karak Izor that held a warning. The warning said (translated from Dwarfen into the common tounge)......

An Orc and Goblin army approach from the east.
We have counted that there are around 10,000 foot soldiers and exactly 11 long range artillery weapons with an addition of three battering rams.
You need to prepare and call upon your allies for this is no army to fight alone.
Signed, Heffen Oakbeard.

Immediately the Dwarf King lit the beacons that stretched across the tops of the mountains to all its closest allies to call for aid.
A band of Rangers knew that Karak Izor’s closest allies would never make the call in time as they were already fighting their own wars.
This band of rangers had in it a well known traveling warrior, Rurik Gorrun, he had traveled for near 2 centuries along with his companion Vindr Gallanodle, a wood elf.
Knowing that Vindr had a great influence over a vast majority of wood elves Rurik suggested that they could quite happily meet the wood elves and get an extra helping hand in the oncoming battle.
The band of rangers still held their great grudge against the wood elves but non the less agreed as it would mean a great ally in the oncoming battle.

They gathered their equipment and notified the lord of their quest and then left abruptly. The lord saw this act as not an act of honor but saw it as the rangers knew how hopeless the battle was and thought that they would rather take their chances leaving the stronghold.

As they reached the forest they were suprised (or rather not) that they had marched all that way for nothing. All they found was a note reading; ‘We have our own troubles to deal with’.
They marched straight back not wanting to miss the battle.

When they arrived back to the fortress of Karak Izor they found that the Greenskin army had come earlier than expected and was already nearing the end of the battle. All the rangers had to deal with was the leftovers, scraps, worthless odds and ends of the defeated Greenskin army.

As the rangers entered the stronghold they were greeted with withering glares and curses. The lord of Karak Izor saw it fit for them to be summoned straight to the main hall for them to be judged.
I shall not go into any great detail as this is just a brief account but the lord charged the rangers with;
Abandoning their brothers in a time of great need.
Dealing with Foes
and a few more.

The rangers put forward their arguments and were rewarded by being told that they hadn’t the need to turn slayer but were then banished and sent on a quest to regain their honor.

This is the brief reason to why a group of banished rangers are on striking out eastward to the lost stronghold of Mount Silverspear.
As we know they haven't reached the mountain yet.
We remain in hope.
