Well my first ever blog post, so I better make it special.
I come back to my old favourite subject, the lack of GW's out of the box games. Lets forget for a minute WHFB and 40K and go back a few years (ok, crumbs, thats, er, 10 years at least, eek!) and we had such great games such as Advanced Heroquest, Man O' War, SpaceHulk, Bloodbowl etc. Now OK, bloodbowl still exists, but what a hard game to get hold of board wise, whilst the rest are consigned to history. I grew up on these games, they gave me insight into WHFB and made me want to explore more, yet at the same time, not breaking my little piggy bank.
GW have removed all these "small" games, mostly likely due to cost, but I think they really should look long and hard and think about bringing them back. Give "Specialist Games" the support they require and they would have kids, who can afford these smaller, 10 models a side games and hopefully draw them into the bigger games.
In dark economic times like this, its exactley what they need!

Fantasy Flight seems to have taken the helm for these types of games. Their Warhammer: Invasion card game is KILLER. Horus Heresy is great too. Death Angels is out soon as well.
